Zeus is a 3 year old black and tan long coated male GSD. He is happy, lively, affectionate and very loyal. Zeus came to us from a family home and could live with teenagers and other dogs. Zeus is house trained, good on and off lead and good in the car in fact he is pretty near perfect although we dont know how he is with cats. He is vaccinated and microchipped, vetted and neutered. It took Zeus almost a month to get over being separated from his owner through absolutely no fault of his own. This was day one at PFK. ![]() This was taken a month later, his first time off the property on a walk and off lead. ![]() These two were taken in July, he loves a puddle!! . .

He has actually been out to a home with 3 small boys but as he settled in he became a bit competitive with the boys, fortunately we got him back before any harm was done. Before that he had bonded very strongly with me and I had proclaimed that if he bounced then he would stay here. The reality is that I dont have time to do him justice and he is one of the dogs living outside here and I would really like to get him inside before the winter, in a worthy home. On the face of it that should be easy because he has no issues (except bonding too much) - but no sob story either!!!! Anyone willing to offer him a worthy home must be prepared to visit and walk him frequently until he has got to know them well, the previous people worked with him here for a month before he went home with them and we thought they were OK even though they did not have Shepherd experience. Maybe thats where we went wrong but we all have to learn dont we. |

No not really, he has a new girlfriend and they are now in the main kennel block ready for winter, it should be good for him to be cared for by a greater number of people rather than just one. There have been a couple of half hearted enquiries for him but nothing serious yet unfortunately. |

What a shame there has been no genuine interest. If only I lived closer and had the room for one more ... I will keep my fingers crossed for him. |

Same here! Thanks for making the trip out here, the forecast is bad for the weekend I think so come prepared. We have a local chinky chip shop and an Indian take out in the village. The Anchor are not dog friendly so probably wouldnt welcome drenched and muddy dog peeps lol |
