Shadow is a 2 year old crossbreed who before coming into rescue, was badly neglected and abused leaving physical and mental scars, the physical scars have been treated and he's healing nicely, the mental scars run alot deeper and will take a very long time to heal. Shadow is very scared of people, new things, unknown noises, he will never accept strangers to fuss him but given plenty of time will come around to his owner, he does not like to be stroked and will need a very very very patient new home who will give him limitless time to adjust to his new surroundings, he is a quiet boy who has never barked while in foster and demands nothing. While in his foster home he has shown improvements, he is more frightened of men and it is hard to think what this poor boy has been through. Shadow is good with dogs and will need a new home with another dog or dogs as these give him confidence in things, he's toilet trained in his foster home and enjoys his food, he is keen on chews and treats and this is a way to help gain his trust, he also likes toys. He does not like leads and it streeses him to much to attempt to walk him, he is content to wander in the garden although he likes his owner to be out there with him. In his new home he will need a crate as this is his security blanket and he likes to be able to go in and out of there when he feels nervous. He can be left. Shadow needs a home without children as these would be to much for him, he has not met cats but we cannot see them being a problem. He needs to be given a chance to find his feet and help to gain his confidence, not rushed and nothing expected of him, can you give Shadow the chance and loving home he deserves?  please call Ros on 07849 637862 or 01780783331 Email marie@marietyler.wanadoo.co.uk.
