Posted with permission![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 10-09-09 Misty is a 4 year old Huskamute who is no longer need by her breeders. She's very good with other dogs and loves people. She's much braver than most of the other ex breeding dogs that we take and is very happy to meet new people and make friends. She walks very well on a lead and is very confident to explore the world. She is one of the few ex breeding dogs that we would consider homing without another dog if the right people come forward. That said, she still hasn't lived as a pet and isn't housetrained or used to pet life, she might need a long time to settle and to get used to things at home. PLEASE NOTE: We nearly always home ex-breeding dogs where there is ALREADY A RESIDENT DOG living in the house. They have usually never lived in a house before and are only used to canine company. They get their confidence and learn faster with another dog to copy from. This also helps with house training and learning how to walk on a lead. They will make lovely pets but do need a lot of love, time and patience. If the ex breeding dog you are interested in can be an only dog it will say so in its write up. This dog is at the main rescue centre in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING THIS DOG: Please read our adoption procedures before applying and complete the Adoption Form. You will be contacted within 24 hours. If successful you will be home checked and you and all members of your family and any dog(s) who will be living with the dog MUST come to meet the new dog. All our dogs are micro-chipped, inoculated and spayed/neutered unless there is a medical reason for not doing so. If you are adopting a puppy you will need to provide details of training classes in your area. We ask for a minimum adoption fee of £150 for dogs at the centre. |

Samantha Ackland wrote this about Misty after she visited Many Tears. On meeting Misty on my visit to Many Tears it was defiantly love at first sight. Misty really can't be done justice by any pictures however good the photographer. Look at her photo and know she is a million times cuddlier and beautiful in real life. You really do have to see her and take her for a walk to realize what a wonderful dog she is. I did this and unfortunately spent the next to days in tears torn between her and another dog (who I did adopt and is settling in great). The only reason I had to very sadly leave her there was that I was worried that my present dog may be too small to deal with such a big playful girl and she may accidentally hurt him. I thought she may be hard to control due to her breading back ground but she was such a good girl walking and was so good walking past other dogs and people not bothered by them at all. I was very pleasantly surprised at how good she was. She did jump up on meeting us but a quick "no, sit" and she did just that straight away. She sat by my feet happily being cuddled by myself and anyone who walked by for a good 15 mins in which time I wondered why she had been overlooked for so long. All I can assume is no one looked past her chunky size enough to walk her and see just how friendly and well behaved she really is. Misty just loves everyone and deserves to be loved back. She has a face that has a permanent smile and believe me if you give her a chance you will also wear a permanent smile. Being fostered in Calne, Wiltshire. We ask for a minimum adoption fee of £160 for our dogs in foster homes to help cover our costs. |
