Emma is a real water baby![]() ![]() Are you sure that's not my football??? I made my hoomans with my 'football' ... I saw it first when the water was out, you know, a long way off the beach. Maybe they forgot to leave the plug in or sumfink. Anyway, I had a good sniff of it, but it wasn't like my football at home cos it had a chain attached to it ... weird. Next time we went there the beach was full of water and my 'football' was floating in the sea. What's a gal to do but swim out and I was really confuddled when I couldn't bring it back to the shore ..... (don't worry, I did give up pretty quick!) Emma Piccies of me & Thomas playing are on his thread http://s10.zetaboards.com/biggsd/topic/236347/54/#new Edited by Caz, 31 Oct 2009, 11:09 PM.

Thanks Maggie I do my best Tonight I found out what 'training' is I went to school, well no church, actually, cos school is in a church hall an' that. There were 6 of us there and I was a little shy with some of the bouncy pups waiting outside the class. I even spat out the first treat one of the trainers offered me But I did ok on the work type stuff - lots of clicking & treating going on which made it fun. Luckily Caz started me off with the clicker at home so we only have to train OH now But you know what? After being so nice to me an all, they gave me lots of homework Emma wots been like a good 'un since we got home |

Emma here. Corr, it's been a busy week. I had to go walkies at two noo places this week (homework) AND do training at them too. We went to two markets and I got told I was a pretty girl by LOTS of people. Uncle Ron never & aunty Chris told me I'd have to work hard when I came to live here But, I did well - we were playing the 'attention' game, simple really, Caz (or OH) call my name, and when I just look at them I get some treats, how easy is that?! Oh, and I had to do sits, which I'm really good at now. The 'downs' take me a bit longer but I'm learning. The trainer said it's all about negotiation - wots with all these long words? - but sadly I fink Caz is a better 'negotiator' than me cos I had to do the down before I could get the treat, EVERY time. Pah. Anyways, I'm enjoying my visits to the beach, a gal's gotta have her early morning swim ![]() Apparently the Isle of Wight is the other way, oops ![]() ![]() Here I am waiting for a stone to chase ... The other day Caz took us down to the beach on her own. There were a couple of kids throwing stones in the sea, so I helped them by chasing after ALL the stones they threw - they liked that! (no worries, Caz did ask their mum 1st!) Trouble was, that was so exciting that I didn't want to go home with her an' Thomas, I wanted to stay in the sea and play; Caz tricked me away in the end, s'not fair. I keep tempting Thomas into a game of chase ![]() ![]() And I'm getting the hang of this 'posing with my pack' lark! ![]() I enjoyed last night's training - we did lead walking outside, or should I be honest & say we 'tried' loose lead walking outside. I'm still shy with the trainers though, there was a nooo one there last night and she tried showing OH the lead exercise and I wouldn't take any treats off her, not even stinky liver. Not like Thomas, he'd be straight there for the treat pockets! But they made it more difficult last night, I gotta respond quicker or I don't get a reward, and I started a down stay ... I had a tired little Emma brain on the way home and a good when we got home: ![]() All in all it's a pretty good life here. Even if the only pillow I've got is a cold hard stone.... Emma |

Thanks Zoe! Me neither, Thomas sensible and mature? He's benefiting from Emma's training cos we're doing the same with both of them, he's been glued to my side on the beach every time we've been down there, all thanks to repeating the 'attention game'. I'd say these two are pretty settled! Thanks Maggie Emma is being very good, bless her, lots to learn in terms of commands etc but she's a little poppet and very keen to learn |
