Meet the lovely Kye. He is only 15months and has been very badly let down by humans.

We are not sure what his skin condition is at the moment but we do know that he has not seen a vet since March and has been left to suffer! No one can imagine what pain he must have been in until he reached the sanctuary of Aunty Alison who is now caring for him. He has been to the vets and we are waiting the results of his skin test. Despite his pain he shows no aggression but is very, very scared - which is understandable.

Once we have his skin condition under control we will be looking for a very special home for this beautiful boy.

Poor boy :cryingtissues:

Do you think that his skin condition could be down to stress or diet if he wasn't looked after properly in his previous home ?

Its only that my Mum rehomed a dog nearly two years ago who had a skin problem, her fur was sparse and allegedly had a sensitive tum - within days of a happy, stress free environment and some proper fresh food inside her, her skin cleared up and she now how a lovely healthy coat too :thumbs up:

Kye is a gorgeous dog - so accommodating - he had a bath on Friday and was sooo good - just as well as he is having to have 2 baths a week. His confidence is growing and he is quite playful - seen here showing off his ball skills. It will take time but he is heading in the right direction.

Ooh Kye is absolutely gorgeous! It beggars belief that anyone could leave him to suffer like that. Brilliant updated photos though - look at the spring he now has in his step!

Onwards and upwards handsome Kye.

Oooh he is a stunner love2

His black skin reminds me of my old Westies. It turned out my Westie was allergic to meat and animal deriratives, so once they were removed from his diet, his skin improved no end. Might be worth an ask at the vets to test for this as it is very easily remedied.

Thank you Julie as always for your kind words and everyone else who has given us some fantastic support. I have to say that this boy's good fortune is really down to Alison who has had this dog with her since we picked him up - at times even sleeping with him to give him comfort. Her dedication to our rescue dogs is amazing - :worthy:
