This is posted on behalf of and with the kind permission of Bath Cats and Dogs Home to whom ALL enquiries should be directed. Meet Sally; she is a two and a half-year-old speyed female German Shepherd that has been with us since early September 2008, after arriving as a stray from Wales. ![]() She was found wandering with a rope tied round her neck; no doubt she had been dumped by her owners. Sally is a very friendly, nice natured lass that loves all the attention she can get. She is an active girl that will need a new home with experienced dog owners who are able to give her the exercise she needs. She is strong on the lead, is very wayward and pulls a lot but is responding well to training and walking on a harness but must be muzzled when out walking as she is not good near other dogs so further socialisation will be required. Sally knows a few commands and is happy to perform these willingly for food rewards. She is a super dog who is looking for a second chance at life and thoroughly deserves one. She is finding kennel life here very stressful so please take a second look at here. Sally is very affectionate once away from the noise and distractions of other dogs on site. She thoroughly enjoys the swimming pool and it is hard to get her out and loves playing ball. Sally is not good with other dogs but the feeling here is that she is very nervous of them, having possibly had a few bad experiences with them. She would not be good with cats and is seeking a calm loving family home where any children are aged 12+. If you are interested in offering Sally a home please drop into Bath Cats & Dogs Home during our opening hours, Tuesday-Sunday 11am – 4pm with some form of ID with your name and address on it to complete some paperwork. The recommended rehoming catchment area is Bristol to Swindon. Although for dogs needing follow up veterinary or behavioural treatment the catchment area is Gloucester to Somerset. However if you are interested in rehoming Sally and you live outside of these areas PLEASE contact BCDH for clarification If however, you are not local and would like to discuss anything about this animal please call our helpline on 01225-787321 between 10am – 4pm daily. Thank you for your interest and we hope to see you soon. Sally can be found in F Block with ID number 14436 |
