2 days in rescue can be a long time

TIA - 3yrs = All Black - long coat - female - exuberant
little lady - does everything at 100 miles per hour - a very friendly
little whirlwind - although good with everything - no children or
cat she would just overwhelm them

Lyn may have more GSDS for rehoming that are not posted here so please phone her for a update on her dogs

If you can offer a home, please call German Shepherd Rescue ,please note that Lyn does not visit this site often so a phone call would be advisable.

:waiting: I know .... I know....... :netlove: ..... it would be sooo good to help another very gorgeous shep in need :hissyfit: :hissyfit:

..... but you know we've got our Woody to consider in all this too, and I'd hate to feel I've shuffled him off before his time :smitten:

I'd have about 5 or 6 off here by now, given an unlimited choice :whiteshep: :running GSD: :gsd paw: :dogincar: but knowing my luck, when the times right there won't be that special shep that I fancy available ???????

I realy want this very lovely girl :angel GSD: to get the best home she can have, just a shame it won't be me :hissyfit: ..... :cryingtissues:

( OH has said he defo don't want another poopy ... so I'm getting him round to my way of thinking....... )

( NOT that he normally gets ANY choice ! :lmoa: :lmoa: :lmoa: )

I must admit I keep coming back to this girly, I would love to get a friend for Otto and she seems lovely. Otto is pretty bombproof around other dogs and relatively calm as 9month old pups go, his training is reasonably solid too but I still just wonder whether I should wait til he's a bit older :waiting:

I really like your thinking Sue, i get...very well not upset or anxious.... but uneasy when I read people getting a second dog before their dog has come into their own either due to still being young or because it has been in the family la very short period of time....or reading about people getting new dogs days/weeks after losing one, in which case I wonder if it is really fair on a rescue dog to have that on their shoulders when their new family is still to freshly into the grieving process.

I dont however think in your case that this in anyway would be what you are doing All dogs are individuals , you know Otto and where he is in his training and development and if he is ready to not be the sole focus of your attention, and only you know if you could have spare the same amount of time as you do on his training for a second dog.

If you are responsible enough to have seriously thought about all the issues, such as if it is best for both Otto and Tia, you should rest assured in the knowledge you are responsible enough to trust you instincts

The least i would have another dog would be a two year gap, :thumbs up: but i always go for three
years :thumbs up: as they get older you have two old dogs!
And we all know shepherds are still puppyish at two years.
My troy is five and still runs like a racehorse :running GSD: :running GSD: :pats_rooster: :pats_rooster:
