We have secured a short term kennel space for him and he will be moved on Wednesday when we will be able to get a better of idea of what he is like and some photos. He is still looking for his forever home or a longer term foster home as we will need to move him on from the kennels fairly quickly. Will post some photos and more info about him soon but at least, all being well, he is safe!

Thank you everyone for helping to save me. I now have a nice warm kennel but do miss not having a mum and dad.

Can I come home with you?

I would be very good - you won't even know I am there!

Harry is still looking for a forever home but has now moved into a foster home! He has put on a bit of weight and is enjoying being in a home. More pictures to follow.

Hey! Its Harry!

I can definately say that this boy is a star! He stayed at my kennels for a couple of weeks and he was a right scrawny boy when he arrived.
We wormed and defleaed him, but it isn't just a flea allergy that he had (although that didn't help!) It looks like a sort of burn injury, typical with fat or something similar being dropped on him in the past. It may be that he always has a bald patch on him.

Harry is a very affectionate boy and is totally happy for people to go all over him and examine him.
The biting in the past was not his fault and my friend who picked him up confirmed that he only bit the owner whilst he was splitting up a dog fight, so I doubt that Harry even realised that he was biting! The home was full of entire animals and so highly charged with testosterone. Harry is good with other dogs and when there was a fight I also doubt that he caused it. He was elderly, scrawny and quite weak when he arrived and a sitting target for a young and pushy entire male.

At the end of the day Harry has been living there for 10 years with other dogs, children and cats, so I can't see that he was that bad or the decision to euthanase would have been made a long time ago.

This stinks of out with the old, in with the new me thinks!

I really hope that Harry finds a good retirement home. He so deserves it...he is lovely!

Look how he has cleverly hidden his bald patch with his left ear whilst I was taking the pics...just to show off his kind eyes and him at his best!!!

:ph43r: Harry is still with his foster mum and is a cheeky young man! Rumour has it that he might be staying there as he seems to have claimed the couch - watch this space!
