PLEASE can someone help two GSD's (one a cross) to get to safety. The RSPCA have offered to take but WILL euthanase. The male is a GSD x. Quite Shepard looking. The female is 7 years old (the mum of above dog). Wary of people she doesn't know, but this is typical of breed. I have no other details at present, just that they are in imminent danger. Any details will need to be obtained from Niall as I am just writing the appeal. I would imagine because in this area and the surrounding areas the euthanasia rate is high with the RSPCA and if their kennels are full and the dogs are hand-overs then they put to sleep the excess and harder to rehome breeds. They would probably euthanse the bitch because she is wary of strangers and may not pass an initial assessment. Emma |

Have just spoken to Niall and the reason that they would put to sleep was because of their reaction to them as an assessment. However, I would hate to think that either lost their lives because of a bad reaction to a stressful situation. Emma |

2 days in rescue can be a long time

Emma, In the event that it looks bad for these 2 the BIGGSD fund could help out with kenneling etc if a rescue could take them |

Many thanks John.  The fund have offered limited funds for these two and I am happy to assess both dogs at the kennels. However, they will need to be placed soon as Summer holidays are close now and the kennels will need the space for boarders. If anyone can offer a place to these two dogs in the next couple of weeks then please let me know as I can then get them to safety. Both dogs are urgently in need of a space as current owners want them gone asap and if a space does not materialise then the RSPCA are left with no choice.  Emma |

Emma, I have spoken to Niall about these 2 dogs and we are looking to see if we can help with these 2 at Southern Counties GSD Rescue - no guarantees yet! If you took them to assess them at your kennels when would they need to vacate? |

These two are now safe in Emma's capable clutches err I mean hands. The poor loves were a bit scared going outside into the big wide world which they haven't really known before but I reckon they'll be fine once they've experienced a bit of Emma's special brand care and love and TLC. Oh and a damn good wash and brush up. Phew ..  I've never had to have ALL the windows open in the car before today !!!4Paws wotsgladwegotanallinonebootlinerwotseasytoDettox !! |
