Bella is in the care of Sue and Lesley two of Vigil Gsd Rescue Trustees, they have not got internet access so please contact them on the following numbers. Sue Gibbons 01444 453302 Lesley Milne 01403 262758 German Shepherd Rescue Surrey 01932 571268 Bella was rehomed by Vigil in 2005 where she was a constant and faithfull friend to her owner and always had first place in each others affections. , He has recently died leaving Bella homeless again, Said to be good with other dogs and children she has met, she is very territorital with neighbours and visitors to the house including the postman,will update when we know more. Here she is with Sue Gibbons one of Vigils trustees.

I was also at Treetops when Bella came back in  She is a sweet girl who is obviously very confused - hopefully someone can find a space for her in their home for a faithful companion

I met Bella on Saturday. She was quite depressed and I was concerned about her, as she has colapsed Carpals (wrists). Basically it means that her body weight sits on the foot pads and also the wrist. Today, I went to see her at Johns and what a different dog she was! SO bright eyed, inquisitive etc., Lovely to see her like that. I took her to see my own vet, a specialist in Orthopedics to have her front legs checked out. It's GOOD NEWS! He gave her a clean bill of health! He said that she is pain free and there is no sign of arthritis, healthy heart, lungs etc. He said she was a stunning dog. He's right of course! She has a fabulous temperament and spent most of the day with me and another 5 dogs. No trouble at all. She loved it. She weighs 33 Kilos and the vet said she should be maintained between 30-32 Kilos. Obviously, the heavier she is, the more weight on those front legs. She can run, but not far and walks a little slower than most, so would suit a household that has a slightly 'slower' lifestyle perhaps. Collapsed Carpals can be operated on at an approx cost of £1,000 per leg, but he said her quality of life is good without having to undergo an operation. I could have hugged him! Anyway, get your bids in for this girl early. She wont be available for long, as you'll fall for her charms as soon as you meet her! |

Bella has perked up over the last couple of days, here she is with 2 of her friends Winnie and Axle who are both looking for there new homes, she is a very loyal dog who is quite content with being in the company of humans and would make a nice companion dog for someone.

I had the pleasure to walk Bella and she was absolutely adorable. She has a very good nature, easy going. She was very good on the lead and gets on well with other dogs. She just needs a good home and lots of love. |

Bella is a really beautiful dog. very chilled out and so friendly. i cannot believe she has not got a home yet. i met her for the first time at treetops kennels today and such a happy dog and friendly with strangers and other dogs.

I walk Bella last week. She was with Zorro and Mabrouk and they all behaved very well. She was lovely as usual. She has such a beautiful face. She is still waiting for a home. |
