All we know about Ben is that he is roughly 2 yrs old, he has been living wild in Thetford Forest for about 3 months (maybe more) The Dog Wardens have been trying desperately to catch him but until recently no joy. When he was caught he was wild, the warden kept him with him for 3 weeks before transfering him to meadow green rescue, where they have been slowly working on him. He has gone from being wild, to a very scared dog who cowers at loud noises and even the wind. He is very wary of men, although the girls in the kennel say he is quite loving once he gets to know you. This boy need a quiet home, with someone who has lots of experience with gsd's and time and love to get him to trust again. Whilst he is in a safe place at the moment with no threat of PTS (he has avoided this 3 times) he does need to get out of kennels as he is not faring well. I can understand if the rescue hasn't been able to find out but, has this chap been dog tested or shown dogs? and what was his reaction? It's only that I have seen by experience dogs that often appear dog unfriendly often arn't in differant circumstances and dogs this fearful often feel much more secure if there is another dog in the home as company. Would be interested to har about this lovely lad
