Smokey was certainly bought for looks! A long haired Sable German Shepherd who is breath-taking to encounter. He was owned by a lady who can't manage him as she has a serious illness. Her son took him in, but has never walked him only taking him across the road to relieve himself ... he had no garden. Smokey lived with a cat and yes, Smokey was frightened of the cat. Basically Smokey never had a normal social puppyhood and so when he was occasionally walked he would snap the air at people not fully trusting them ... so walks became very seldom to non-existent. Smokey is 2 yrs old.

German Shepherd Welfare have taken Smokey on and he is settling in kennels though shy. We have neutered, vax'd and chipped him and are supporting his homing as we not only are involved, but are emotionally committed to help Smokey find his 'Shepherd' home. His confidence will grow now he is in experienced Shepherd hands ... but we are all hoping his owners find him soon so he can develop that trust and new skills within a warm and comfy setting.

If you are interested in re-homing please visit our website www.rescueremedies.co.uk and complete our homing questionnaire so we can ensure our dogs are matched and will suit your circumstances/lifestyle.

Please visit our FORUM to see these dogs individual threads, find out more about them and follow their progress - http://rescueremedies.myfastforum.org/about1066.html

Yes bet he will. Would think he would have GSD lovers everywhere drooling right now. Hopefully he will find that perfect home soon. :)

He would be perfect for us - if he liked us of course.

Unfortunately my mother-in-law has cancer and we are having to go back and forth to Gibraltar to see her, so not in the position to offer a home at mo. Will follow this thread though to see how he gets on.....
