Status: Two GSDUK dogs settled in; How Bonnie and Dieter (rex) are doing

In memory of Duke
I hope posting how our two GSDUK dogs are doing is welcome here.

We got Bonnie via Battersea (they were going to PTS). We helped move her to Leics
for GSDUK and our Duke fell in love.
After looking at the rescue dog we went to see in Leics we brought bonnie all the way
back to Camberley :-)
The next day she had to be rushed into intensive care and it took a long time to correct
the ingestion of kennel cough "dip".that stripped her stomach lining.
She is still thin but a very happy bunny.

Dieter (was rex) is still a bit of a pup and was totally unsocialised but has started
obedience classes and he and Bonnie are inseperable. He has to be muzzled with
other dogs but has been on one Mytchett mid week walk which will be his
regular weekly "long walk" until he is fit/grown enough to go on the longer
sunday walks. He is not an agressive dog and is VERY intelligent and should do
well in obedience and agility (over one year old and fitness check reqd).

Anyway here is a picture of the two of them playing in the garden a month or so ago

and this is them playing in the snow tonight. Don't pups grow so fast!

Update:

Deets is a lot bigger now and This is a recent picture of him lying next to the fish pond.

Posted Image

Yes he has fallen in a couple of times - in fact when it is really hot he lies in the pond on the shelf bit at the side or lies in the waterfall.

Where he is lying in the picture his back/bum is usually hanging over the edge - we are just *waitiing* for him to roll into the pond one day :-)

In the top left corner of the picture there is a rose bush between two plastic shepherds - this is where our Duke is buried and both Deets and Bonnie take turns to have a snooze next to him.

Paul

Your two posted images at the start of the thread dated 1 Feb will not come up on screen for me.

Is that the same for anyone else. Frustrating to read the comments about the lovely pictures, when I cannot view them.

Obviously I have been able to enjoy the later full screen ones.

Jacqui here - my fault the first two images are hosted on my home
network and when I am working VPPN traffic takes priority - if needed
the web server is shut down - I will upload to photobox and
update the posting.

Done - images are on photobox

Thanks
Jacqui
