Ruby is a 3 year old female GSD. She came to us as a pregnant stray. She is gaining weight now and her pups have been homed so its time for a new home for her. Ruby is good with people but will need an experienced home without young children. Her lead training still needs work but she is a bright girl and learns quickly. She is a bit pushy with other dogs so may be best rehomed as an only dog although she mixes with the other big boys here. She hates Staffies and needs to be kept away from small dogs. Ruby is microchipped, vaccinated and spayed.

Nothing significant, she has new playmates now and some of them she bullies but they just accept it, others she leaves alone, playtime is a group of seven large breeds romping about the paddock.. She still eats as though she hasnt been fed for a month even though she is fed twice a day and has double rations, she has a sensitive tum and needs gluten free food. She is gaining weight slowly and is in good condition. She is very easygoing with strangers but can be pushy if she wants something (like food!!). Her worst aspect is the hatred of small dogs that needs to be managed or she will get into trouble very quickly. This is one dog that we definitely will not rehome out of our local area but the only recent enquiries have been from people 5 hours away who were not prepared to travel (even if we were) and just wanted to know where we were - hence the new sig line  Hopefully people will also read the information at the top of the section before contacting us too since the information they ask for is all on here. She is still available to the right home and this thread would be updated within seconds if we had good news to pass on - trust me!

Just a change of running mates for Ruby. Our new boy Diesel has been paired up with her since she wont bully him. That means that both dogs are easier to get out and rather than just free running in the paddock they have been walked on lead by some of the volunteers which at least is a change and at best might get her a home if someone who isn't on line should fall in love with her. |

Ruby is now back in an indoor kennel and running daily with a pack of 8 large dogs, one of which she bullies but he just ignores her. We introduced her to Thunder and it was a total non event but it would be a backward step to put her outside with him in the winter. She is a very nice dog but no enquiries for her at all since the last update.
