An introduction to the Admins, Moderators and other 'officials' on the board

What is the difference between an admin & a moderator?
Admins can do the same as the moderators plus have access to change user names, edit profiles, create new sections, etc. We also have Section Moderators described at the bottom of this post.

This is Mr BIGGSD himself John.
John runs his own German Shepherd Rescue in Surrey, has 2 dogs of his own Dusty & Dodge & always has a number of dogs waiting for homes sharing his home. These rescue dogs can normally be seen on our weekly walks (see under the walks section) wearing their yellow "I need a home" coats
Specific role on the site: validating new members John also holds some Arden Grange food which can be collected from him at our weekly walks :yay:

One of her cats is bravely the official cat tester for the dogs needing homes  Specific role on the site: update the Calendar, archive out of date posts, help organise events as well as updating the dogs :real GSD:

This is Anita (with Mel & Louise - daughters) & Kiya her GSD.
Anita is a busy full-time mum (nappies on one end ... boyfriends on the other), having successfully completed a 3 yr degree in Aviation Management she is now working on converting her US FAA to European JAR pilot's license.
Specific role on the site: to be the 'voice of reason' in our internal debates.

What do we all do?
We look after the site, help users with posts & keep it up to date and tidy. We can also help with bringing back posts from our archives, merging or splitting topics. :ups:

Section Moderators
We also have moderators who have access to update, edit, close topics etc in specific sections of the board. You will see their names under the sections they are responsible for, some are associated to the sections as those are the rescues they belong to or own e.g. Jennysmum - Mutts in Distress
Others who are not linked to rescues directly but work very hard for the dogs by crossposting, updating etc. are:
Sheba's Mum, Caz :angel GSD:

Cheryl is the Biggsd fund holder/treasurer

We all do this for no payment and in our freetime because we share a passion for helping dogs. We have via this site rehomed & saved countless number of dogs from being pts by offering funds
finding rescue places or foster homes and of course forever homes.
We all think its crazy but so worth it. :penguin dance:
