CLEO German Shepherd: age 3 years Cleo is a wonderful lass who is very gentle. Poor Cleo arrived at Three Counties looking extremely thin. Cleo is very nervous and has obviously been treated badly in the past. However, she has a lovely temperament and she gets on well with other dogs and people of all ages, including children. Cleo needs a very gentle, loving home with an understanding family who can build her confidence. ![]() Three Counties Dog Rescue is based in Bourne, Lincolnshire. Gyll runs the the rescue and we usually have at least 40 dogs looking for their forever homes (and a few cats too!). All our dogs are neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped. We are not open to the public for general viewing but Gyll would be very pleased to arrange an appointment for you to visit. We prefer to re-home in Lincolnshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire if possible. However, where there is a special need to re-home a dog we can do home checks and re-homing through our trustee within 50 miles of Wokingham. Please visit our website at www.threecountiesdogrescue.org or telephone 07708 589792/01778 440318 |

Gyll - I notice Cleo being posted on the site and has been so much on my mind. I spent from June last year till January this year finding a home for a lovely GSD on this site - and I was successful, finding a lovely "forever home" in the end - so have faith - BIGGSD in wonderful. This morning a man from near Malmesbury in Wiltshire telehoned me and he doesn't use the internet - so I have given him your number to ring. He lives on a farm and has other rescue dogs - they have rescued dogs for many years and he has been a previous GSD owner. Unfortunately he just lost his GSD at the vets this morning. If distance is difficult and you need a home check over here - I am more than happy to help. If you like, you can ring me and check me out and I will give you all the background. The man's name is Mr Mills and he doesn't use the internet - which is why he'll contact you by 'phone. I do hope you have a happy result for Cleo very soon. She look gorgeous. All best Cheryl. Thank you so much for your interest in Cleo and for passing her details on. I am so sorry that this gentleman has lost his dog - it is devastating when a beloved pet dies. My name is Marie and I am the volunteer website manager for Gyll and Three Counties Dog Rescue. Gyll is not really into computers either! I will pass your lovely message on to her so that she is aware that she may receive a phone call about Cleo. Thanks once again for all your help. It is deeply appreciated. Cleo is such a lovely girl who has been through a really bad time in the past so she deserves the best of homes. Best wishes Marie

Mr Mills did sound very, very nice and definitely extremely loving and caring towards animals. I am working away from home all of next week - but I don't think that should affect anything because if he wants to follow-up, he'll obviousy have to contact you first and talk things through and then arrange to come and see you and Cleo first - and I'm back in circulation from Monday 05.05.08 (the bank holiday). Best wishes and huge appreciation for what you do too. Fiona (01275 866226) |

Thank you, but we do ask that the original poster keeps the thread updated. If you can post every 10 days or so, if they are still looking, it bumps the thread to the top again.

Cleo is now on a re-homing trial with a male GSD. She is a lovely dog, lets hope both dogs get on well together. I will let you know in a few weeks if it is working out and she is to be adopted. |
