Roman Republican System (RRS) is important part of AEE. RRS illustrates Roman Cursus Honorum (in short The way of Roman career that influences public life in Republic) and give depth to social, military and economic matters.

Roman Republican System consists:

a) buildings that are specific part of Roman civil and military life,

- Tribal Assembly Buildings: Concilia Plebis, Comitia Tributa, Comitia Centuriata, ...
- Citizenship Buildings & Military Reforms,

b) Offices (lat. magistratura) represented by traits and ancillaries

- Cursus honorum Offices:
- Military Tribunes,
- 5 Tribunes of Plebs,
- 10 Quaestors,
- 4 Aediles (2 Aediles Curules, 2 Aediles of Plebs),
- ... Praetors,
- 2 Consuls,
- ... Governors of Province,
- ... Censors,

- Titles & Honours:
- Princeps Senatus,
- Pontifex Maximus

RRS is nearly completed.

RRS was hardly remade. New conditions and triggers was added. Most difficult part are always - details. In RRS I tried to limit number of roman officials what is the most difficult and time consuming part of trait and ancillary making. In most mods traits are not limited. When character gets attribute he will also get trait. In AEE only 10 Quaestors are available in the same time (like in history), but getting ten of them will be challenge for player. The same with Tribunes of Plebs, Aediles, Praetors, Consuls, Censors, etc. Only Senators are coded without limits, however getting title won't be so easy. RRS is almost complete system taking into consideration historical and mechanical matters.
The most irritating thing is (it was fixed in MTW2 engine) that ancillaries can't be automatically taken from characters. It means that when character becomes Aedile - Quaestor ancillary will be still present in character scroll. Of course traits works fine and Quaestor trait and all bonuses will be ceased.

I'll try to describe RRS here, but information "HOW TO" is implemented to traits and buildings. I tried to explain all steps of Cursus Honorum. What is needed to be roman official Candidate and what next Candidate have to do to get office. All republican buildings like Concilia Plebis, different types of Comitia were also described in pragmatic way. Which building generates officials, phases of elections, what additional conditions must be met to get office, etc.

In my testing game I noticed that it is very nice part of campaign to create your own political mini game.

RRS was simplified. Result of described action should be expected reaction. Not esoteric behavior, I hope :).

Ancillaries like legionnary, army, consular army standards are completly new, the same with officials ancillaries. New scheme will be presented soon.

Hi Gorby. As you can see I've reorganized topic titles lately. RRS system was moved to old Traits & Ancillary thread.

Btw. I've got new info about T&A system. New trait makes possible to have in AEE Traders' mechanism, known from MTW2. When character stands on resource income is generated :). It opens new economic possibilities.

It seems I used MTW2 documentation instead of BI one. It means that trader feature is unavailable :). I'm sometimes too fast for myself :)

Trying to redeem for "Trader" trait I prepared PeaceMaker Trait :) The trait is useful when player takes enemy settlement (especially with different culture). Very often settlement with, let's say, 400 population efficiently revolts against stronger army (e.g. 400 civilians against 800 well trained soldiers). Peacemaker adds +3 to character law (public order) when civilians to garrison ratio is XXX.
