Okay, Matt. As predicted, it opened fine, I moved the diplomat, moved P. Valerius Laevinus, opened Capua, selected to build a "Trader", opened Rome, built an archery range and recruited a principes unit. I then advanced the turn which worked fine and noted that the principes had been recruited. I saved it as Rome_Mat2 and it is attached below. The problem is not in AEE. It's got something to do with your install or settings. |

Matt, what operating system are you using. And, can you copy and paste the Target line from your Desktop shortcut? |

Information from the Limes: CTD may cause the following entries in export_descr_buildings.txt responsible for the generation of buildings (blocks of the text as "building core_building, barracks_gauls building, building smith.) Removed 7 such blocks of text (building MTM_temple_of_battle, building MTM_temple_of_farming, building MTM_temple_of_fun, building MTM_temple_of_governors, building MTM_temple_of_horse, building MTM_temple_of_law, building MTM_temple_of_trade). It is smooth, but after leaving the game shows me the following information: Date / export_descr_anciliares.txt at line 6102, column43 Build name MTW_temple_of_fun_temple mot level as a level found in building database. However, this does not cause CTD. |

Line 6102 in Limes' revised Export_Descr Ancillaries.txt file says and SettlementBuildingExists >= temple_of_fun_temple Yours is probably the old version which referred to an MTM_temple_of_fun (or whatever ). Limes will be putting out a new fix for this. In the meantime, it should not impact your game. (Anything which does not cause it to CTD is not too bad a problem.) I will add new hotfix to post # 1"AEE Installation Process, Link to AEE, Fixes, Patches" (bottom of the post). Hotfix contains all changes and fixes made before, so it's enough to install latest hotfix. The name of hotfix is HOTFIX 1.3. There is "data" folder inside. Instructions. 1) Make an emergency copy of your AEE, 2) Download HOTFIX 1.3 and unzip it. There is "data" folder inside of HOTFIX 1.3. Copy files from "data" and replace old files in your AEE install with these from hotfix. 3) Run "campaign_map_reset" located in "Data" directory. 4) You may try to use your saved game but it's recommended to start new campaign. What is in new hotfix: Changelog hotfix (ver.1.3) 1) mtm_temples block is deleted from export_descr_buildings (EDB), export_descr_ancillaries is adjusted to new EDB, 2) one small change to descr_model_battle (correct texture path added), 3) initial battle script is added to INTRO SCRIPT folder. You may use it. Just copy "script_4tpy_dates" located in INTRO SCRIPT folder into your data/scripts/show_me folder and replace old file. Now battle script is activated. 4) all previous fixes added to hotfix 1 and hotfix2 Ad 1. The hotfix (ver. 1.3) should fix all "weird" ctd you experienced during playing AEE. Weird ctd doesn't mean all ctd (for sure there are few minor problems) but these responsible for strange problems with starting the AEE at all, starting AEE when saved game was loaded, ctd when city was clicked, etc. I'm waiting for feedback!!!! Ok Spart. Many users posted here their problems with strange and random CTD. I've had the same problems. Once the game ran, after that it was out of order. After cutting few lines AEE works every time. |
