Ok. I've got the same problem. Missing texture error. I have to make deeper examination of game mechanics and check what's going on. In the meantime: 1. open Rome - Total War/Data/AEE/models_unit/textures folder. 2. copy 3 textures: limes_AEE_romsamnite_skirmisher.tga.dds; limes_AEE_romsamnite_skirmisher_gloss.tga.dds; limes_AEE_romsamnite_skirmisher_gloss.tga and paste into texture folder. You should have 3 normal textures and 3 copies in texture folder. 3. Next change only AEE in all copies to ae. 4. This way you'll satisfy game engine and I'll get time to check what's up. 5. It's strange because all settings in proper text files are ok. It seems I have new lesson learned :). Good luck with your campaign. And one more thing. I've seen that you conquered half Italy. Could you tell me what level you play and whether Romans (as computer player) were hard or weak opponent? |

I play very hard. I destroyed Rome very early during the first 4-5 years, but it was not so easy;) The Romans are strong enough units. In fact, I threw all the forces out to be finished them. Oh, and elephants helped me a lot! But fight them not easy. Although still left me with a feeling that ROME as opponents are to be more powerful)) Then I had to leave almost all of Italy, as the Greeks and Macedonians attacked me from both sides. Italy was looted, and the money has been spent on the soldiers. And only in 250s after the Peloponnese was conquered, and carthaginians drove me frome Syracuse I decided to return to Italy. Well, there were already Gauls.)) The unusual campaign, but without such a gambit it would be even harder) Edited by Nautillus, Sep 16 2013, 02:00 PM.

Thanks. Nice to hear good news :). I try to make AI more challenging so I ask questions about different campaigns. In AEE: RW Romans should be harder enemy :). Btw. I found real reason of missing texture error. Gauls recruited Fast Mercenaries (unit recruited in the field) which is wrong coded. Likely the same problem (reported by Rafael) concerns Italian Cavalry. Edited by limes, Sep 16 2013, 02:16 PM.

Hey ![]() Hotfix 1.3B downloaded;) After implementation it, I will start new campaign with Epirus on VH to check changes; About turns reaching by actually campaign (with Romans, level Hard), I will check a reaching year... but this problem was only by beginning (when was fighting with epirus who was hired a mercenaries in Italy), maybe I will send a save? Salve and thanks for solving this problem

Hi. No problem. You may send your saves. I was living in modding matrix till I installed my own copy of AEE:GC (via uploaded installer). This way I ensured compatibility between us :). I usually use as modding base material that still changes. So I couldn't check different mod issues. Turn numbers are important because RTW suffered 66 year bc bug that couldn't be fixed. I had applied medicine but nobody knows whether it works :). And coding work is the best time to fix sth. Edited by limes, Sep 23 2013, 04:19 AM.

![]() Hi Limes) Wish you strength & patience in your hard modding work)) Playing for Bactria I faced with this (see picture above). What that might mean? I'm sorry to bother you but I will be glad if you help. Crash occurs when I entering a battle just one Bactrian army. Everything else is ok. If you have a time i can send you save with explanation. Since this topic is devoted to testing mode I'll write more about some observations. In custom battles against legioners of Armenians and Pontian (I do not know how about the Ptolemaic and Seleucid) something strange is going on with the models and textures. they have no faces)) |

Hi. There are no Armenia in AEE:RW, but for sure few AEE: GC models (i.e. all not Roman legions) are not mapped correctly. I found this issue making coding work. Problem will be solved in AEE: RW. |

At what level of difficulty you are playing in AAE:Grand Campaign and what the recommended level of difficulty for this mod? I play very hard and each my Roman campaign is something terrible with rivers of carthaginian blood on Sicily))) to the question of turns made: In my most successful campaign for Rome (I got to about the year 100 - 80 bc without crashes as i remember. I did not reached up to 66 years I have not had the patience but I'm going to do it)) I first destroyed the Gauls and only then landing in Sicily with almost all my forces, carthaginians atack me in spain and one my army landing in Africa near Carthago, It was bloody)) In campaigns when i landed in sicily earlier (265 bc - if playing with historical reliability) i always been crashed here. "Punics" moved all their forces on the island. So much deaths of romans) I love this mod for his difficulty) Edited by Nautillus, Oct 9 2013, 03:58 AM.

In my opinion, the best level is very hard (or hard - I played Romans some times with that level), a difficulty of this game is increible, amazing and great, actually, I'm playing (slowly) Epirus - hard fight with Romans (finally they are dead), attack forces from Macedonia and Illyria on my forceless homeland (almost all my cieties of Epirus were lost, now I retaked my homeland) and bad looking at Carthago on Sicily (but actually without a war with them - it's luky); the most usefull unit - elephants but I think - critical and most important is build a good economy and then fight.. its great thing, that so big and important is care his own people and cieties - without taxes a fight with any enemy is almost impossible and is true - in Epirus Illyria atacked me with 4-5 armies but the other side - Macedonian conquer my Apollonia and then his one main army go away (it was helpfull for reconquer my homeland) and any macedonian army atacked me last time... yes, this mod is a lot of good work greetings Edited by Rafael, Oct 9 2013, 07:05 AM.

Funny situation. Epirus conquered all of Sicily, including Lilybaeum. My troops landed at Messana and take it. 2 turns later Messana attacked by the Carthaginians. The war begins and with Epirus they (Punic) fight apparently do not want.)) |
