Hello.

All my problems with install maker are result of wrong path I selected for install. NSIS ZIP based installer lets to select one ZIP files that contains files and directories. Problem is that AEE material is located in two folders:

"Rome - Total War/data" folder
"Rome - Total War/bi" folder

I've made ZIP folder named Rome - Total War what is not the best thing. If so, install path should be changed to prevent installing Rome - total War Folder from installer into Rome - Total War root directory.

It seems I should put "bi" with intro into "data" folder. Pack "data" folder. After that I should add to script few lines that will copy "bi" folder into correct place in file structure. Then create ZIP based installer. Hmmm. That's why I need to know correct command that I should put into script. Should I copy AEE intro into bi\data\fmv folder (AEE.nsi script) via:

File: SetOutPath "$INSTDIR\bi\data\fmv\"
Copy BI_Intro_640x480 ...... ???? :):)

or just install it by use of "test.txt" file via

SetOutPath "$INSTDIR\bi\data\fmv"
File: BI_Intro_640x480

@ Spartacus.

I love to talk dirty ;)

Ok. Done. I'm swift learner :):)

No. I'm not :). Map files was deleted, but BI_INTRO was installed in data/fmv folder instead of bi/data/fmv

MAJ Pain. Is there any way to run campaign_reset_map.bat automatically instead of delete files via

SetOutPath "$INSTDIR\data\world\maps\base"
Delete map.rwm
SetOutPath "$INSTDIR\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign"
Delete map.rwm

?
Actually the method you tried should also work. I think it didn't work because you put a colon ":" in between the command and the path. Small typos like that will cause bugs.
Anyways to call campaign_reset_map.bat use this:
exec '"$INSTDIR\campaign_reset_map.bat"'
Pack the file in the root directory
Make sure you copy & paste the command exactly. If you leave out a ' or a " it won't work.
Good Luck my friend! Everyone awaits eagerly :)

Ok. I managed to delete map files, but BI_INTRO was installed in data/fmv folder instead of bi/data/fmv

How to change below path to get BI_INTRO installed into bi/data/fmv folder

SetOutPath "$INSTDIR\bi\data\fmv"
File: "BI_Intro_640x480.wmv"

PS. Installer with intro has only 333 mb :):).

@ Spart

I decided not to release the best AEE units ;);)

@ MAJ Pain.

Your absence forced me to prepare few experimental lines like:

CopyFiles "$INSTDIR\data\BI_Intro_640x480.wmv" "$INSTDIR\bi\data\fmv\BI_Intro_640x480.wmv"

:)

Soooo..... does it work? That code should work - using the SetOutPath command.
If it doesn't work try taking out the colon on the File command - sometimes one typo will ruin the whole project lol

Script works ok. Installs files, deletes old map files. Only one thing must be done. New AEE INTRO must be placed by installer outside of "data" folder. When I use SetOutPath "$INSTDIR\bi\data\fmv" installer creates new "bi" folder within "data" folder.

AEE INTRO should be placed into "bi" folder in Rome - Total War folder.

That's why I'm trying to force installer to copy BI_INTRO into correct folder from "$INSTDIR\data"

Negative. Copy failed. I used below code.

CopyFiles "$INSTDIR\data\BI_Intro_640x480.wmv" "$INSTDIR\bi\data\fmv\BI_Intro_640x480.wmv"

What should I change?

Whenever you're ready...I've made sure that you can get through my Spam filters and everything.

BTW, I have arranged with my son to set up my wife's notebook so that I can access my home computer while traveling. That way, I won't have to transfer files between computers.
