Thanks Johannes. Believe me - simple and exact coding work needs a lot of time. I've just fixed problems with triggering Civil_Service_Years_9to17. Till now RRS do all things I need from it :):). Good. Btw. AEE premiere is planned on christmas :). Edited by limes, Nov 30 2009, 02:01 PM.

Thanks. I will wish you a merry Christmas soon :). Now unfinished scheme... Just start to familiarize :). When character received single or multiple Office ancillary (just Quaestor or Quaestor, Aedile, Praetor, Consul, etc.) he won't start his military service (outside Rome) till Office ancillaries (all character has) will be transferred to another character (assistant or confidant). When transferred character may repelnish his military service outside Rome... ...then he may return to Rome and get his Office ancillaries back. Then Civil Service counter will go. ![]() Edited by limes, Nov 30 2009, 05:58 PM.

Hi. I had to stop work for a while, but it's going good now. I had few problems with hardware. By the way beware old firmware installed in Seagate hard drives (ST3500320AS). |

Good move my friend. I lost 2 disks within one week. Good that I make AEE backups. Old Seagate firmware delivers too much power on HDD headers what is main reason of HDD damage. |

Ok friends. I'm starting to finish RRS - the most difficult part of my last work. I will try to describe system and show you how it works. I hope everything will be clear. ![]() The Key for understanding RRS is knowledge :). I will post here base knowledge AEE player should know. Cursus honorum http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cursus_honorum Plebeian Tribune. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tribune#Plebeian_Tribune Quaestor http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quaestor Aedile (Curule/Plebeian) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aedile Praetor http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Praetor Consul http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_consul Censor http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_censor Tutorial Preface RRS - Roman Republican System is based on historical records about Roman magistrates, Cursus honorum, social organization of Roman society, etc, etc. I tried to make things clear & fast accessible, so I illustrated most things you'll need to know by use of Wikipedia. The AEE starts in 280 bc, in most fascinating period, when Roman Republic and its institutions was pillar of Roman power. They also influenced modern political and military systems. Principles of rule generated just in time of Res Pvblica Romana are not only good source of knowledge for future politicians, but significant part of european history. System of of Roman leadership reformed in V age bc (dynamic growth of Republic) generated new quality in Cursus Honorum, too. The most important legal act that described age of roman officials was lex Villia annalis created just in 180 bc, but many things connected with Roman career was known before that date. Main Principles Roman player should spend some time reading at least Wikipedia sources. Knowledge will bring you a lot of satisfaction and let you keep control over AEE campaign, events, political aspects of situation. Of course you may concentrate on military dimension only, but political aspect will expand your field of view meaningfully. Before I will start to show you details I have to present main construction of RRS. 1. RRS is based on electoral system. Most important institutions of this system are proper structures: - concilia plebis (plebeian assembly), - comitia tributa (tribal assembly), - comitia centuriata (assembly of centuries) a) When built - makes political career of roman characters available. b) Next step is: - fulfill different conditions (personal attributes of character, length of Military_Service and/or Civil_Service, etc, etc.) - to keep eye on planned career of character (most things are player dependent). Electoral process may be described as: Phase 1 - becoming Candidate Phase 2 - Elections Phase1 Character becomes Candidate - required length of Military Service (MS) and/or Civil Service (CS), Character becomes Candidate - when he is or he isn't magistrate. To become Aedile character must be Quaestor first. To become Praetor - character should be Quaestor, and next Aedile (Full Cursus Honorum - option) or he may be not Aedile (but always Quaestor) and old good general, who gets office in exceptional way. 2. There are two main values in RRS: Military_Service (MS) and Civil_Service (CS). Different length of MS or CS will generate expected effects. For instance character needs to spend 10 years of MS when he needs to become Quaestor or Aedile, 20 years MS and 3 years of CS to become Praetor, etc, etc. In most cases mixed MS and CS system is used in RRS. 3. ![]() 3. II. Offices 1. Chapter I - Quaestor ![]() TO BE CONTINUED TOMORROW. Edited by limes, Dec 17 2009, 04:47 PM.
