In April, HVS held a multiplayer test. it was a crash course, it sucked! (this btw, is because Nintendo dumbed down it's wifi, thaks guys ) but today, it was up and running with no problems, and IGN was invited. (videos of multilayer in action are on IGN's website, so take a look, it looks amazing, and yes, the radar on the bottom left does copy Halo, but hey, it's useful )
Now here is the downer. I was wrong. You HAVE to be friends to use Wii Speak
IGN:
Quote:
High Voltage noted that you'll need to have set up friend codes in order to chat with each other, but friends of friends will be able to chat as well – in other words, if you have a friend in your lobby, and he has a friend in the lobby that you haven't friended yet, you can still chat with and hear him if you have WiiSpeak.
(I seriously think I wasted my money on that Wii Speak Device.)
GRR, and its the dang friend code exchange!!!!!!
NINTENDO WHY IN THE H'LL DID YOU INVENT FRIEND CODES... WHY!!!!!!

Nintendo this is how we feel, in smiley form:

the ball is friend codes. I'm so sick of them, why must they be required.
anyways, back on a happier note,
These were IGN's closing comments on multiplayer

Overall I was having a blast – I'll freely admit that I'm nowhere near as good at first-person shooters as most people, and by the time everyone else was up to speed on the game's controls I was having my butt handed to me on a platter. And going by the reaction in the room it seems that The Conduit is a hit with the FPS fanatics. This is easily one of the Wii's best titles of the year, and definitely a shining moment for hardcore gamers with a Wii in their possession.
because many of us will be getting The Conduit, if we register each other, it will be likely to find a friend online for Wii Speak, actually please because I spent 30$ on it and I want to actually use it.

But i'm going to say this,
BUY THE CONDUIT
serious, spend 50$ of your hard earned money on this game, please do not download this game bedsides backup. Please, I know some people don't have money to spend on their Wii right now, but it just isn't fair to HVS not to pay for this game, they worked really hard, this is no PS2 Port like the rest of them. It's just 50$ (other countries, I dunno what it is.) Mow lawns, hack your friends wii's and charge like 20$. Just whatever you do, don't pirate the game. Be a proud owner.
