sean conners: I have a amazon puffer it has cut or tore it abdomen and I can see its stomach or swim bladder hanging out almost like a hernia and I am trying to come up with a plan of action it wont take long to repair it providing crazy glue will work or the invisible stitch that band aide makes I know some people have had to clip the teehth of there puffer although I mat try a cookie sheet with fresh aquarium water flowing over it will keep the puffer alive during the ordeal i hope this is the right way to go I am no a vet and really don't know what todo i went to my local freshwayer saltwater fish store and they think it might be an internal parasite now the fish did have ick or what looked like it but a few of the spots had white hair like things coming out of them any help!!!!!!!!! |

Well take him to a vet as vets should be able to provide care, this is very advanced Im afraid not many of our members would be able to help. |

My advice is to put him down(do away with him). If you know what you are doing you may saved him, but then you may not. You say his stomach or swim bladder is hanging out, if this is so then do away with him, do not make him suffer. Melafix or pimafix will not help him now. |
