when it comes to choosing the right internet browser, i would call myself a floater. Over the last couple of months, i have tried and used 4 of the most popular browsers imo to quite an extent. None of these browsers, im sad to say, took my real liking-until i came across Google Chrome-THE BEST BROWSER OF THEM ALL now before u all start arguing, i shall compare 3 of the 4 browsers to show you how I've reached this conclusion (ie isn't included because imo, it doesn't qualify to be a browser, its a bug catcher) Mozilla 3.0* pros: almost unlimited apps, good security, relatively convenient tabbing system, spell check, most versatile browser cons: relatively unstable (ive experienced 30+ crashes), extremely slow start up, longest time to load web pages according to stats on internet Opera pros: ability to customize skins, speed dial , relatively stable (ive experienced 1 crash), relatively fast web page loading, best dl manager imocons: inability to host certain sites properly(including hotmail  ), no spell check, relatively slow start up Google Chrome pros: fastest start up, fastest time to load web pages, very stable (no crashes so far), incognito mode-allows sites to be viewed without recording the site and its cookies on history, simple design, toolbar that you can customize to include favourite sites, spell check, convenient bookmarking cons: no apps (because this browser is relatively new, i suspect that apps will be added in the future) Conclusion imo, a good web browser is determined by its ability to host sites the best, as that by far is the most important purpose of a web browser. Mozilla 3.0 isn't stable and Opera can't even host certain sites properly. Google Chrome on the other hand loads web pages the quickest, is the most stable and reliably loads all web pages properly. Therefore, according to my experience with web browsers, Google Chrome is by far the best. Discuss whether you agree or not. No flaming please
*i am talking about Mozilla 3, not Mozilla 2 |

I have used Google Chrome and so far I have HATED IT. The thing that I really dislike is the fact that there is no "File" "Edit" about the URL bar. Really annoys me. Also, I't doesn't look nice and it is a pain in the ass to install new themes, You have to go through like 6 or 7 files before you come to the one you want. Though Mojo, after what you have said and the high appraisal you have given it. I will try it again and give it another go and see if it can gain my love. Kinda like a puppy

lol, i know it doesn't have much (its really simple) and i agree that its looks aren't so great, i only care about whether or not a browser can host web pages well or not and Google Chrome seems to do that the best. hope it can gain back your love

I've been using it for a while now and I really like it. I still don't know if I'll like Chrome or Opera better. Meh, guess I'll have to keep using it. |

lol mojo! You have finally accepted your group's defeat on the Browse War! Mozilla is getting old and a bit "annoying" sometimes. I mean it takes like 10sec for me to load google when i first load it up. not my internet speed of course. Google Chrome is really simple and there hasn't been a single crash for me so far  |

75% of the discussion on this forum has been about browsers...ffs, lol It's not that much of a problem. I'll stick with Firefox, but Chrome is probably the best. I just can't be bothered to go download it. And I hate Opera, it just looks like poo. Finally, Sam, is it really of THAT much importnce to you that you see the top toolbar on Google Chrome? I never use it anyway, I don't see why it's important anyway - just use hotkeys, lol. |
