At the time of writing, the charts are showing a very deep low pressure hitting the somerset coast next thursday with the strongest gusts in excess of 100 mph hitting the bc directly in a wsw direction this coincides with a spring tide I believe so although quite concerning, from a fishing point of view there could be some decent cod around in the wake of that storm. That is of course if that's what happens because a week is a long time in weather forecasting of course. |

I go on the netweather model output forum as a lurker, but there are some very professional weather forecasers who post on there indeed some work for the met office. You have to read between the lines a bit and avoid getting sucked into people's bias towards a certain type of weather but I do find it good for identifying trends up to about a week out ie if most of the charts are showing it windy or snowy in under a weeks time then its a fair bet it will happen, ive found it usefull for fishing allthough I'm more restricted by work thsn the weather as to when I can fish. At the mo its still on to turn very windy even stormy from the end of this weekend up to Christmas. AT THE MOMENT LOL. |
