Weather was looking dodgey but hopefully wind would be with tide so out we went on the 6.am lock (must be mad).
We started off towards black rock one or two shy bites and Sean had the first cod of the day ther about 3 pound but after a couple of hours that was it.
Tide had turned so pulled the hook and headed for the Clevedon Bouy.Quiet tio begin with then we had a flurry of four or five fish including a nice Thorny.all the cod between 2-3 pound.then another quiet hour then another flurry of fish as they came through.
We ended up about 25 cod ,4 thornies and a first for me out there a nice sized 3 bearded rockling.
Best cod around five pound best thorny to Sean just about a double.
Another good day out again with Mr Kirk (bless him he was a tired old Hecter by the end of the day still a day with the papers today!)
Cheers Dave
