sorry for hijacking this thread, was going to fish the chesil's tonight but after looking at the forcast realise got no chance LOL, was thinking of just wasting the lil bait i bought at severn beach but tis a small tide <11m so any advice to better my chances?

The wind tonight is 4cast to be southerly so anywhere on the channel will fish ok
It will be behind you so no problem.
Actually if you want to fish Chesil in this 4cast wind go to Chesil Cove as tight as you can without getting in the rocks and you should be protected.

The places I would go on the channel with a big southerly (25kph+) 11mtr tide would be Porlock or Bossington but the slipway would be a good place (portishead) as this would offer fine protection.
With the strong wind behind you put some extra line on your spool then you will be able to add yards to your cast without extra effort :lol: :lol: :lol:
