Do sometimes wonder if the Trawler-men have done themselves more harm than good by filming the series of programs for TV - a team of pair Trawlers grossing over £2 million in a year - little bit more than a "hard earned living" and "only making enough to cover me fuel bill" - all this info is now in the public's mind thanks to the "Power" of TV - it shows them having to dump fish back over the side and (rightly so) blaming the government - but is his real concern the grief that it is future stocks he is dumping or the fact that he is having to throw £sd over the side ? - I know they are out there feeding the Nation and earning a crust, but how big a crust do they need ?

In all the angling programs that I've seen I have never once seen one of the presenters whip a bin bag out of his tackle box and start bagging the rubbish that lies in his swim - a small thing that would have a big impact in the public's eyes - using the power of the media i believe they call it ?
Salt water doesn't taste the same as the fish that swim in it!
If you don't need it - put the damn thing back
