Welcome to Vaioa,

a desert triumvirate of Hold, Weyr, and Mine. Thread's return and bandit raiding brought strife between weyr and hold, but the bandits' recent defeat has returned the region to an uneasy peace. Now, a shipwreck on a forgotten continent and the decision to settle this rediscovered land has opened up a world of opportunity to Vaioa, if only they can handle the dangers.

Aislyn wasn't quite sure how it happened but she'd managed to get herself into another game of dragonpoker. And here she'd thought she'd told herself she wouldn't get into this again considering how the last time had turned out. Ah well, she was actually doing good for someone who'd just wandered down here because they were bored. Really her only competition seemed to be one of the younger riders. She eyed the shorter girl for a moment before taking another drink from her cup. Interesting way to spend her evening but at least Vinsica wasn't around to make frowny faces at her.

A glance down at her cards and the red head had to wonder if it was worth the risk to call or if she should fold. She had a pretty good hand but this other woman seemed to be as hard to read as she herself was. "Hey, you. Grayrider. What's your name?" Time to see if she could throw this person off their game a bit. With that in mind she threw on her best flirty smirk and leaned forwards a bit but kept her cards close to her chest. Wouldn't want to give anyone a free peek.

"You're pretty good, compared to this lot at least." She teased, winking playfully at the other gathered riders as they groaned. Hey, she was just being honest! If they wanted to lose their marks so easily she would be happy to take them all. "What do ya say we raise the stakes a bit? Make sure the real players worth their weight in salt are here."

A heavy sigh sounded in the back of her head as Roduth peeked in on her. He did so to try and keep her out of trouble when he could. You just can't help yourself can you? Remember what happened last time? He pointed out, shifting a bit before stretching his wings out. She'd been down their longer than he'd realized.

Eh, that was a one time thing. This girl looks like she's up for some fun! Aislyn shot back. Why don't you go bother Pileeth or something instead of checking up on me. I'm a big girl.

So you say. And yet you rarely act like one.

Love ya too, big guy.

Ciell had loved to play dragon poker for quite a few Turns, and so it was not a very big change of pace to see the grayrider in the lower caverns, playing the game with her stoniest expression. Most of the players there were, unsurprisingly, not a match for her, but this copper-riding wingthird seemed to be quite evenly matched with her. Though she didn't show it with her expressions, there was a certain thrill that actually having some good competition gave her.

Just don't lose all your money, Artaith chimed in. Though her face still showed nothing, she mentally rolled her eyes back at her dragon. I'd worry more about these other poor players than me.

The copperrider asked for her name and gave her a rather flirty smirk. Ciell raised an eyebrow at the other woman, though most of her expression remained unchanged as she kept her hand close to her body. "Name's Ciell." Her voice was cold and flat, a perfect accompaniment to her good poker face. The temptation was there to start teasing the woman before her, and Ciell was sure she could do it without actually revealing her hand... hm, maybe in a bit. That did sound like fun.

I thought you were playing dragon poker, not flirting.

I'm here to have fun, and flirting is also fun.

"Raise the stakes, huh?" Ciell asked, her voice still flat though a playful smirk crossed her lips. She was not looking at her hand whatsoever, and the smirk had been solely out of amusement at the copperrider's challenge. "Sure, sounds like fun. But first you gotta tell me your name, cutie."

Ciell ignored Artaith's amused giggle that sounded in her head.

If T'eo was being perfectly honest with herself, she didn't play poker for the marks. There were plenty of other ways for her to pad her pockets, so she didn't need to really win the game. Breaking even was always her goal because, let's face it, she came for the people. The people tonight we're pretty interesting.

The greyrider Ciell had invited her tonight, a bit of wingmate bonding perhaps or simply introducing T'eo to the entertainment available at Vaioa nowadays. The greenrider held her cards close to her chest and watched as the bets went around the table. When it came to a copperrider...

Oh this was going to get interesting.

A grinning T'eo leaned back in her chair, bracing her heel on the seat so she could rest her wrists against her thigh. It helped too to hide what might be hiding underneath her clothing, and since she didn't know half the people around the table, why not mess with them a bit? Too busy guessing her to guard their cards, perhaps.

"I'm all for uppin' the ante," she put in her two marks worth, shifting a card in her hand just because she could. Oh yes. This could get interesting fast.

Awww, did she have to sound like that? It wasn't like Aislyn was trying to cheat or anything. She just wanted to make things more interesting than just playing regular ol' dragon poker.

I'm sure that's not what she's thinking considering it's your turn and all. Roduth helpfully pointed out. Rumbling as she pushed his voice outta her head in time to catch the smirk that appeared on Ciell's face once she mentioned the raising the stakes. Ha! Someone was interested after all and not as cold as she made herself sound. Good, it would've been boring had she been not been tempted even a little by the challenge. Raising an eyebrow at the request for her name, Aislyn had to wonder if she was being flirted with. Hmmmmm. Hopefully so!

"I'm Aislyn. Pleasure to officially meet ya Ciell." She winked at her before letting her eyes wonder around the table. Now to see who else was interested in making things ore interesting. Eyes landing on...well she wasn't quite sure if it was a man or woman at first but it honestly didn't matter. Someone else who seemed like they'd be up for a bit of fun as well. Her eyes did narrow a bit when they shifted a card around and took in how they were sitting. Hmmm, she'd have to keep an eye on that one.

"Good, I'm glad you two at least are interested." She teased, making a pointed look at one of the riders who hadn't said anything. "Now, as for what we'd be upping the ante up to." She grinned before reaching over to playfully tap the sleeve of Ciell's shirt. "How about we start betting some clothing? How many of ya are brave enough to risk your clothing?"

She bit her lip to keep from laughing out loud as two of the other players immediately folded before getting up from the table. "Aww, c'mon guys! It's just a friendly game!" She teased, knowing fully well it was probably not the smartest idea considering where they were playing but it would be thrilling! A good challenge in her head.

Ciell grinned as she took a glance at her greenriding wingmate. As far as the grayrider was concerned, T'eo was not as good as her at this game, but she'd be damned if she wasn't fun to have along for the ride, especially since there was something especially saucy about the copperriding woman's demeanor as they waited to hear how she wanted to up the stakes. Between the three of them, this could get very interesting very quickly.

And Aislyn did not disappoint. "Strip poker, huh?" Ciell asked, her voice taking on a playful, teasing quality. "That sounds like my kind of game." Ciell winked teasingly before turning to T'eo, "I hope you join us, too!" She then giggled as many of the players left the table. "Eh, don't worry about them, they're just sissies. Although, maybe we should move this somewhere a little more... private. I don't think the folks here have earned a free show, don't you agree?" Yes, Ciell was definitely flirting now, completely enjoying how very quickly this was escalating.

Oh yes, this was about to get really interesting.

T'eo liked when that thought crossed her mind more than once in an evening. It usually resulted in a few really good stories to tell the next morning. And for several days afterward. Shards, she still fondly recalled one night in particular that involved a bluerider, a greenrider, a greyrider, and a distinct lack of clothing or personal bubbles. Now that was memorable.

When the game became strip poker, T'eo couldn't help but grin. Nope, she had no poker face to speak of when it came to cards. She always ended up having way more fun with the people than the game itself. "Missin' out!" she taunted a couple of the players as they retreated from the table. Oh well. More fun for her!

As tempting as it was to return Ciell's wink, she didn't want to let on to Aislyn that they knew each other. Beyond the table, anyway. "Wouldn't dream of missin' it," she replied with a nod and a flirty smirk, folding her cards and resting them against her thigh.

"Only if you're worried about losin' what you have on," the greenrider countered to her wingmate, giving the woman a look up and down. "I bet I'll be gettin' a pretty decent show." No one could accuse T'eo of being humble, that's for sure.

Excellent. These two had favorable reactions to her proposal. She had made it after all to see who would be the bravest out of the other players. Such a shame that so many had left, oh well. She was totally okay with this. Smirking when Ciell said they should move it somewhere private, Aislyn leaned towards the girl to tease her. Only for the greenrider to respond instead.

Chuckling, the redhead gave a hum of agreement. "It's all about raising the stakes, Ciell." She teased, glancing around the room. "S'long as you're decent at the game ya shouldn't lose too many clothes." She paused, looking both riders over for a moment before a large grin appeared on her face. "For now."

It's going to be another one of those nights, isn't it?

Eh, I haven't been chased out yet but the night is still young. She quipped, glancing back down at her cards for a moment. She placed them back to her chest as she returned her attention to the others. "Besides, I have no problems with free shows." Now onto the rules. There were several ways they could do this but what would be the most fun? "As for bets, how about whoever wins the hand gets to choose what piece of clothing gets to go?"

Ciell snorted back at T’eo. “You’re the one who’ll get a decent show? I beg to differ, I think you’ll be the one to entertain me first!” Oh yes, this was becoming quite enjoyable indeed. She already had a distinct feeling that, by the time the night was through, they would have taken it somewhere more private anyways… and not to play poker, either.

The grayrider shrugged nonchalantly as the other women turned down her idea of moving it somewhere more private. “Well, fine, we’ll play out here… for now,” Ciell said, her voice heavy as she gave Aislyn a playful wink. “Sounds good to me,” she said, and snickered, “and when I win the first hand, you’ll both be taking off your shirts for me.”
