Welcome to Vaioa,

a desert triumvirate of Hold, Weyr, and Mine. Thread's return and bandit raiding brought strife between weyr and hold, but the bandits' recent defeat has returned the region to an uneasy peace. Now, a shipwreck on a forgotten continent and the decision to settle this rediscovered land has opened up a world of opportunity to Vaioa, if only they can handle the dangers.

Jasio
Candidate
Jasio was not in the right mood ever since he got up this morning. He felt like a rock had hit him on the head in his sleep. He had not gone to sleep feeling like this, so something was obviously wrong with him. He had slept just fine and had woken up at his regular time before lessons were to start.

Ciel was flying around his head, the blue one obviously wanted to help out but it was just annoying Jasio even more. Every step he took was another painful shot in his aching head. He needed to get to the infirmary quickly and see what was happening.

Outside in the hallway there were some candidates mulling around, he tried to not make any painful looks cause he didn't want to be bothered about his condition. After a few more steps he felt his feet buckle underneath him and he lost consciousness. Ciel was frantically chirping for help.

There was no hustle more furious than that of a student in a hurry, and while Terran Sunderland was not normally the speedy type today was an exception.

As someone who prided himself on punctuality, Terran knew he couldn't miss this lesson. Especially because being a "ground crew" could be very important in case of Threadfall. For this reason he hurried through the Weyr, moving fast enough to avoid being late but slow enough to avoid disrupting anybody. His trusty flit Ossum stayed perched on his shoulder, pointing and chittering to let Terran know when he had to move over or slow down.

However, eventually Ossum let out an entirely different reaction. Rather than a small, calm noise, he began hopping up and down and frantically pointing at something. Terran quickly turned his brisk walk into a stop as he looked around, trying to find what Ossum was pointing at. It was an unconscious person with a very concerned looking flit.

Wait, what?

Terran looked at the flit, knowing how antsy such creatures could get in a strange situation. "Don't worry," he assured the fire-lizard. "I'm going to get him help. Follow me." As he said this he picked up the unconscious person, walking to the infirmary. He was no expert, but he knew unconsciousness was never a good sign.

Lessons could wait when there was a life at stake.

Jasio could feel himself getting picked up somehow the person seemed to be able to pick him up. He didn't worry himself about how that was possible, he was still barely gaining consciousness and didn't want to strain himself. Maybe the person was gonna take him to the infirmary. Ciel was flying around with the other firelizard ahead of them probably to announce they were coming to the healer. He had never met the healer so hopefully he/she would know what was going on. He had never been a sick child, hopefully this would only happen to him and not the rest of the weyr.

If this would spread to the rest of the weyr he would never forgive himself. He immediately send Ciel away because he didn't want his firelizard to get infected. The little one flew away unwillingly but he went because Jasio had asked him. He was a very loyal firelizard and full of energy, he would probably go spreading the rumor to all of the other firelizards now, just more problems Jasio would need.

He still hadn't made a sound but opened his eyes more to look at the person carrying him. It was a fellow candidate of his he had just seen recently, must have been searched for the upcoming clutch from Gold Bresaith.
