Welcome to Vaioa,

a desert triumvirate of Hold, Weyr, and Mine. Thread's return and bandit raiding brought strife between weyr and hold, but the bandits' recent defeat has returned the region to an uneasy peace. Now, a shipwreck on a forgotten continent and the decision to settle this rediscovered land has opened up a world of opportunity to Vaioa, if only they can handle the dangers.

T'ech didn't need this shaffit. What he needed was an afternoon of peace and quiet to get his work done. He needed an afternoon free of Tytoth's constant snark , free of gossip and drama and trivial problems heaped upon him by lazy people. Then perhaps, he needed a quick trip to a particular Istan beach and a long soak in the sun. Maybe even a nap. Shards, a nap sounded good right about now.

What he didn't need was this.

"Are you sure?" He asked his dragon with a sort of resigned air about him. He shouldn't have to ask; if it really was B'ran they were talking about then the answer was yes of course. B'ran really had done what the bronze said he had and he not only had to somehow deal with the troublesome young garnetrider, but with an infuriated Wingleader as well. Keeping O'zen from ripping the boy limb from limb would be a challenge.

You know better than to ask that, Tytoth replied, happily confirming his rider's fears. He stretched out on his ledge and practically purred with amusement. T'ech might want a quiet afternoon alone, but he wanted entertainment. And B'ran was always good for that. Walked right up to him and grabbed him by the balls. I'm not sure what the context was, and I'm not really sure if it matters or not. Would have liked to have seen that for myself though...

Feck. Everything. T'ech rubbed at the developing headache between his eyes. "Tytoth, send him to me. I'll take care of this. Somehow. Tell Lenth to keep O'zen from murdering him."

I can make no promises on Lenth's behalf, Tytoth singsonged. But he did reach out to Syrth cheerily. The Weyrleader requests your rider's presence in his office immediately please.

I hope T'ech knows he's going to regret this... B'ran is positively giddy. came the reply from Syrth, dripping with her usual disinterest. Socializing really wasn't her thing.

The door opened a moment later, and B'ran stepped in. The long-legged lad didn't need very long to get anywhere, particularly when he had such an exciting goal to reach. A private meeting with the Weyrleader? No one had to tell him twice.

"Oh, Weyrleader!" exclaimed the weyrling as he entered the office. His voice had a moping, pitiful tone, but his eyes were lit up with laughter.

"I'm so sorry for bothering Wingleader O'zen," purred B'ran while he crossed the room directly. He hopped right up onto T'ech's desk and wiggled on his behind to get his legs over it. B'ran draped one on each side of the bronzerider's chair, a stupid grin spread wide across his face. Clearly, this was just entertaining to him.

"I'll do anything to make it up to you, sir, honestly... What will you do? Dress me down? Give me a paddling?" While babbling giddily about the prospects of having fun with his former lover, B'ran had already started unbuttoning his trousers.

T'ech flinched away from the promiscuous weyrling with a startled, "Ack!" and nearly fell over the back of his chair trying to get away from him. His eyes narrowed in irritation as Tytoth rolled over onto his side and shook with laughter. Of course the two of them would enjoy this. And B'ran had probably never taken anything seriously in his whole sharding life. "Button your fecking pants! What's wrong with you?!"

You've slept with him. You should know the answer to that. Tytoth was tremendously amused.

I didn't ask for your commentary. Stay out of this.

T'ech drew himself up with as much dignity as he possessed and glared at the garnetrider. "Get off my desk and sit in a chair. You're here because I have to decide how to punish you and not," he held up a finger when B'ran's eyes practically lit up at the prospect of punishment, "the way you're thinking. Jays. Sometimes I can't believe you Impressed."

You'd think Syrth would keep him reigned in.

T'ech snorted and tried not to look as defensive as he felt. B'ran made him very nervous. I don't think anyone could reign him in.

B'ran just stared at T'ech levelly while the bronzerider flinched, then went into a bit of a tirade. He made no effort to button his pants, even when directed, since he was lost in thought. A tunnelsnake to the face bothered him? That wasn't the T'ech he was used to. B'ran had put it in a lot more intimate places than T'ech's face in the past. He seemed uptight. Maybe this Weyrleader thing was getting to him? Maybe T'ech just needed to relax?

... Regardless, seeing him so flustered was hilarious. The mischievous part of B'ran's personality couldn't let this golden opportunity pass him by.

"Sit, Weyrleader? How about I kneel instead?"

He hopped promptly forwards then, sliding his body between T'ech and his desk.

When he kicks you in the stones, I won't put up with you crying the rest of the night. Quit harassing the poor man, B'ran.

Harassing? I'm just teasing, darling. You need to take a lesson from Tytoth.

T'ech was probably inventing new shades of red as he grabbed B'ran's shoulders and pushed himself away from the young garnetrider. His face was flushed with equal parts embarrassment and fury, anger both at B'ran and at his own sharding body for reacting the way it was. Whatever he had had with B'ran might be far in the past by now, but his body certainly didn't think so.

He took a deep, calming breath and hissed out through his teeth, "Stop! I don't want you to touch me anymore. I..." he scrambled for an excuse, " I have a weyrmate now. I'm not going to throw that away for a pushy delinquent."

You mean J'ean? He's not your weyrmate yet. If kissing someone a few times qualifies as being weyrmated, than half the Weyr is practically married to each other by now. You're lying.

He doesn't know that.

"What in the world possessed you to sexually harass O'zen, B'ran? What happened?"
