Welcome to Vaioa,

a desert triumvirate of Hold, Weyr, and Mine. Thread's return and bandit raiding brought strife between weyr and hold, but the bandits' recent defeat has returned the region to an uneasy peace. Now, a shipwreck on a forgotten continent and the decision to settle this rediscovered land has opened up a world of opportunity to Vaioa, if only they can handle the dangers.

"The warm weather is nice, but maybe it's not so much the warm weather helping as much as the people here tend to be more laid back. Sleeping at odd hours isn't really a problem or unusual unless you're missing drills or meetings." She hid her face against his side and yawned softly, "oh sorry. But yeah, I don't think I could ever go back to Benden. It's damp and cold, and unpleasant company awaits me there." she referred briefly to her mother, who without any doubt would find Visani and Emanth if she got the tiniest hint that her middle daughter had returned to any area around Benden.

Visani blushed slightly at the way his smile shifted, fardles she swore mentally, hoping that surely it was too dark to see the soft tint coloring her cheeks. She looked somewhere to the left of his head while she answered, to hopefully keep the remote possibility of blushing again to a minimum. "Winters are dry here, he'll probably still like the watercavern then. Emanth prefers baking himself no matter how hot it gets. But sure, I'll keep that in mind if I ever need you for anything."

Ok so he had told her where to find him, she mulled over briefly the idea of telling him where to find her "I'm usually in my Weyr or in the dining cavern getting klah, so.. you might be able to find me there if you want to talk or something." shards I'm making a fool of myself. Do you need a bath yet, Emanth? She prodded her dosing dragon urgently. She hadn't really thought much about seeing Z'skel much after she left him, not that she wouldn't mind, but surely he would forget all about her within a few hours of their parting.

No Visi, this is too cute of you. He replied sleepily while yawning hugely.

(Huzzah! I feel accomplished! I felt so bad letting this die, so I had to throw a pheonix down on myself and pound out a reply for you.)

“You won't hear me saying people being laid back a bit is a bad thing.” The Brownrider replied instantly, watching contently as Visani yawned. “And bad relationships trump any kind of weather issues. Weather is much easier to cope with.” Another automatic thought. Z'skel tended to find most fights and grudges not worth his time and got annoyed with them way too quickly. Especially when he was tired. So the reason for not going back to Benden made sense to him.

He actually failed to notice the blush on Visnai's cheeks as he turned his eyes back to the ceiling. Surprised by her literal interpretation of his mentioning where he and Iolauth spent a lot of time, his face took on a more and more confused look. He had to mull his words over in his head to make sure he hadn't missed something.

It was too much when she went on to tell him where he could find her if he 'ever needed her'. “I'll keep that in mind...” He started, arm dropping from her shoulders as he tried very hard not to laugh. Not that she wouldn't be able to feel his breath hitching or hear the tone in his voice. “...thanks...no wait are you a Wingsecond or something because I didn't mean, I wasn't seriously looking for a reply to that...you know? Do you want something to eat, or I can go get us both klah, I need it to make sense apparently.”

I think you slept too much. Yes. Go get that drink of yours so you can use your brain. Iolauth interjected, sounding amused. Z'skel only shook his head, waiting for a reply before he made any move to get up.

Visani pulled a few inches away and gazed up at him with her face pinched into a look of irritation, "I'm the Wingthird of Granite so don't think too much about it. I'm usually helping everyone with everything anyway." her voice took on a tightness that, as though the laughter in his voice had offended her, it hadn't she barely noticed it but her automatic defenses to social awkwardness were becoming active at an alarming rate.

For the most part, the offer was always there to her fellow wingriders, if they ever needed anything they could come talk to her and she would try to help. But perhaps it had been too prude of her to offer the same to him, shards she barely knew the man and she realized that she was probably giving him the wrong impression. She swore inwardly again, once again wishing that Emanth hadn't chosen to chase afterall.

"Klah would be good I think. Then I should probably be off to take care of Emanth." She rubbed her eyes with the heel of her hand. Obviously she was not awake if she was making such blunders.

Her dragon had fallen into silence again, but she brushed her conscious against his. Love, after we have klah we'll go get you clean. I shouldn't have waited so long already. It wasn't fair to him that she'd just been stalling, not to mention he'd he'd been letting and even encouraging her to stall all this time just so that she could make a fool of herself.

Take your time, I don't itch that bad. He hummed and curled his tail more tightly around himself.
