[Acclamator Class Flagship Hildebrand, Orbital Fortress Aramis] Dispite the colonels respectable reaction, Jason felt maybe he was in the way of something, though he would just have to wait and find out. Jason soon found himself floating down the hall and soon out into the hangar where the battleship Hildebrand was docked. On the way to the dock, Jason looked around, seeing some of the soldiers acting kinda nervous It was probably none of his buisness but Jason was dying to know. No sooner than after boarding the ship did he notice a few more people acting this way, this time it was the crew. Such a scared look on their face meant something was up. It was time to ask, so he floated over to the nearest person. "Excuse me, but could you answer a question?" Asking a crewman of the ship. "Sure, shoot." The man replied. "Why does everyone seem so nervous? Did something happen?" Jason asked. "You mean you haven't heard yet?" The crewman replied. "No, I haven't heard, whats the scoop?" Jason asked. "The Scarlet Lightning is on this ship, he's one of the most renowned in the Federation military." Said the crewman. "Oh, I know him. Though I see no reason to fear him, he doesn't seem like a bad guy." Jason replied. "Umm, hello? Did you not just hear me say 'most renowned' just now?" The Crewman said. "Yes I did, but I also just said he can't be that bad of a guy." Jason commented. "Well, if you see him, you tell him that. I see you at your funeral." The crewman said, then floated off. "Well then, I think that works for a good day." Jason thought. Jason moved from his spot and began floating down the the room where he figured he see what the Colonel and Captain were doing. As he approched the door, he heard some people talking. Jason couldn't help but evesdrop on them, so he placed his hear to the door, keeping hidden to hear what they were saying. |

Norad was the last to board the Hildebrand, for he had to answer the call of nature en route to his destination. As Lynx, Ariana, and Spaak went ahead of him Norad assumed they have already met the envoy sent by High Command. He quickened his pace before sprinting towards the Acclamator class flagship ahead of him. Too bad Dock 2A had to be so big, otherwise Norad would've arrived at his destination much sooner. As Norad approached the ramp leading to the Hildebrand, he saluted the two soldiers guarding it. "Staying out of trouble, boys!?" the Iceman hollered. The men responded with a simple cry of 'Sir, yes sir' as Norad blitzed in between the two, up the ramp, and into the ship. Inside, Norad took a moment to gather his breath. "Man, talk about one heck of a run." the Iceman muttered under his breath while wiping the sweat off his cheeks. He leaned back against the wall and contemplated taking a smoke break before deciding not to. "Could be a female envoy for all I know. Wouldn't want her to smell nicotine in my breath." said Norad with a mischievous grin. "Ah, Major Mercer! The Colonel and Captain are already at the bridge with the envoy from Federation High Command! You better hurry, sir!" Straightening the collar of his uniform, Norad made a mad dash towards the bridge thanking the young female informant before doing so. Arriving at his destination, Norad noticed Jason Spaak standing outside the bridge's entrance with his ear against the door. He assumed Lynx and Ariana didn't want him mingling with the higher up from High Command but knew it wasn't the case since the entire bridge crew is in there with them. "Hey, you know it's rude to eavesdrop." Norad whispered as he approached Spaak from behind. |

Lucien rose from his seat as soon as the Hildebrand's commanding officers entered the bridge. He turned and faced the Fenix couple, returning his own salute. "We meet again, Colonel Fenix. It's been a while." Lucien replied before shaking the hands of Colonel Lynx and Captain Ariana. "Last time we all fought side by side was at Eclipsor Prime, I remember. Battle of Port Stockholm. I think we all did our part well." Lucien vividly recalled the beginning of that said battle where he was one of the key strategists that led to the Federation's decisive victory. "Your father speaks highly of you Captain Ariana, and I can see why. You've earned many distinctions in a shorter span of time than your father did. With time, I'd say you could surpass his accomplishments." The Scarlet Lightning proceeded to turn around and slowly paced the bridge while observing the facial expressions of its crew members. "It's because of our little professional acquaintance that High Command chose me to be the envoy to this armada." he continued while fidgeting with his red and black leather gloves. Lucien turned and faced Lynx again, this time removing his ruby quartz sunglasses and exposing his sky blue eyes. "And you know very well why I'm here, Lynx." A few gasps and whispers were heard in the background. "War has come with all its glory and horror. The Imperial Army are now spurred with the recent appointment of their new Lord Marshal. It won't be easy defeating them as we had done in the past few months. Our recent, what's the proper word, setbacks on the battlefield have already alerted High Command and needless to say they are not pleased with our performance. Hence why Supreme Commander Romulus has enacted the Spearhead Plan, and I am here to ensure every elite in our entire military force will lead our troops by example. Therefore our troops will expect the best from you, and so will High Command. You need to be absolutely prepared. You need to be focused. You to find a better place for two of your men to eavesdrop on a conversation." Lucien turned to the bridge's entrance which was still sealed, yet his abilities as a Newtype didn't prevent him from reading the thoughts of the two Federation ace pilots standing outside. "Isn't that right, Norad 'Iceman' Mercer? Violet Sentry Jason Spaak?" Almost immediately, the entire bridge's attention turned to the entrance. |

In all of his endeavors of trying to become a well renown pilot of the Federation, never did Jason ever try to eavesdrop like he did just now. With the two Colonels both behind the door, it was probably something serious. There was always talk around the station about people like these two, pilots who have earned respect among the top brass as well as the pilots of their home worlds. While Jason's minds was all of a sudden in thinking mode, he was suddenly spoken too by someone. Jason sprung from his spot in surprise, taking note that it was Major Mercer. Of all the times he could think were top of the line embarrassment, this had to top it all. "Y-yeah..." Was all that came out of Jason's mouth. Jason was about to walk off and try to shake away the situation, but it was already at an awkward moment. After a second or two, Jason spoke up. "Sorry about that, When someone famous is supposedly around, I tend to want to scope them out. Though I guess around these parts, in the military anyways, that might be considered a bit too much." Jason said. Before he could continue, someone from inside of the bridge had yelled at the door, surprisingly at Jason and Mercer since they were the only ones at the door. In response to the shout out from the bridge, Jason immediately entered the Bridge and took a step towards the Man who had called out to him. "I'm sorry sir, just a bit anxious to meet the person who was sent here from high command." Jason said, giving a hearty salute to the Colonel in front of him. (Lucien) |

Words could not describe the respect Lynx had for Lucien, particularly during the Eclipsor Prime campaign where he was the brains behind every tactical plan. Lynx adjusted his uniform as the Scarlet Lightning continued to speak, the latter now turning his attention to Ariana singing words of praise. To the young scion of the Reuenthal Family, being compared to her father was something worth more than any merit she recieved. "I'm flattered, Colonel but I still consider myself a shadow to my father. What he accomplished on the battlefield may never be duplicated or replicated." Ariana responded while removing her captain's hat, placing it close to her chest. The revelation that High Command chose Lucien as the envoy wasn't much of a surprise. Lynx knew Lucien's other profession as an observer would eventually lead him to the Tristan Armada. There was some truth in the latter's words when he spoke of a sudden dip in the Federation military's performance. Lynx expressed his disappointment with a slight frown. It was relatively surprising that the Supreme Commander's defeat in a single battle would cause a huge drop in morale. Not that it was a major one to begin with. With regards to the Spearhead Plan enacted by Supreme Commander Romulus, Lynx was about to speak his mind when Lucien surprised the bridge by revealing Norad and the other individual, Jason Spaak, hidden from plan sight behind the sealed entrance to the bridge. Lynx held back his laughter as the door slided open revealing the said individuals. He could only wonder why they chose the option to eavesdrop on a conversation like this when they were more than welcome to have their presence in the meeting. "Well, good thing the two of you didn't apply for military intelligence." Lynx joked, drawing some laughter from Ariana and the bridge crew. |

Although tardiness was something the Federation military did not promote, Lucien didn't mind Mercer or Spaak's late entry. He was familiar with their work, having fought side by side with the Iceman back on Eclipsor Prime and recognizing the Violent Sentry during his time on Fenril. Like him, they were mobile suit pilots who had yet reached the pinnacle of their potential. A faint smile curled on his lips as Colonel Lynx Fenix cracked a joke, yet this was no time for relaxation and humor. Lucien stood at attention and returned a salute of his own to greet Jason and Norad. Lucien focused his attention on the latter first. "Suppress your exhaustion, Major. A tired soldier won't go very far when he or she's needed most." Concluding his small talk with the Iceman, Lucien turned to the older Jason Spaak. "At ease, soldier and don't worry. There is no genetic bigotry here." said Lucien to the Coordinator. He knew what men like Spaak go through everyday. His focus shifted back to Colonel Fenix, Captain Ariana and the Hildebrand's crew. Surely they were all now familiar with the Spearhead Plan and the intentions of the Supreme Commander. Since Lucien was part of the test and evaluation corps, it's his job to ensure standards of the Federation military are top notch starting with Colonel Fenix's unit in the Tristan Armada. Granted, Lucien had already seen how capable the Colonel is as a leader among men but with the escalating conflict against the Imperial Army in recent weeks, he wasn't taking his chances putting his beliefs in the performance during one campaign. "Now, General Ryker has informed me that you agreed to perfom a little chore for some of the higher-ups at Aramis. Although the concept of destroying a small terrorist network isn't much of a challenge, I guess this will be the perfect time to evaluate your performance. I shall accompany you to the surface, since I myself need a little warm up before undergoing something important in the near future, is that all right with you, Colonel Fenix?" The bridge crew started murmuring among one other, a sense of excitement filled their expressions. "Is this for real? The Scarlet Lightning on this ship?" said one of the Hildebrand's female operators aloud. Fame definitely had its perks. Lucien allowed the crew to continue their chatter as his attention remained on Colonel Fenix and his wife. "No need for formalities, I don't fancy myself a guest. Treat me as any other crew member on this ship. Camaderie among men makes them stronger after all." he said with a smile. |

Norad was a little crestfallen when the envoy sent from Federation High Command wasn't what he expected. He was however, familiar with the voice having heard it years back during the Eclipsor Prime campaign. He trailed behind Jason Spaak as the latter went into the bridge first. Standing a few feet from him was none other than Scarlet Lightning Tyrael, a man of many talents. It wasn't much of a surprise considering the acquaintance both Lynx and Norad have with him. The exhausted Iceman hastily fixed his uniform, stood at attention, and saluted his senior officer. "Much appreciated, sir!" Norad responded enthusiastically while panting. He complied with Colonel Tyrael's order and took a seat on one of the vacant chairs by the CIC control panel. The Iceman felt a little guilty for missing most of the important talk earlier but he was never the listening type, with the exception of mission briefings. "You don't say, it'll be great to see him in battle again." Norad thought to himself when the Colonel revealed he would be joining the party temporarily. He was in no position to object, after all the Colonel was also on a mission to observe the performance of every elite unit within the Federation military. Just as the bridge erupted in a joyous mood, Norad received an incoming call via the Codec implanted in his left ear. "Its me." he spoke softly, his tone cold as steel. "All right, I'll inform the Colonel. Over and out." he added before hanging up. Rising from his seat, Norad approached Lynx and leaned forward to whisper in his ear. "Resupply's about done, we can leave at your call." |
