Posted Image Name: Cassandra de Nabradia Blesfeldt Nickname: Throne of the Skies Callsign: Tempest Throne Age: 20 Gender: Female Origin: Scandinavian Birthplace: Nabudis, Fenril D.O.B.: April 28, AD 3396 Blood Type: AB+ Genetic Type: Newtype Hair Color: Golden Blonde Eye Color: Emerald Green Height: 5'7 Weight: 115 lbs Faction: Galaxy Federation Biography: Scion of two noble houses of Nabudis, Cassandra is the second child and only daughter of Viceroy Nestor Rahm Blesfeldt and Princess Sadira De Nabradia. She has a brother, Stelios, who was ten years her senior. Although born during a time of great strife, Cassandra led a relatively peaceful life on Fenril. Her family was close to the Jugend's, and she grew attached to her childhood friends, Valerian and Tear, along with their mother Celestia Aingeal. Cassandra would develop feelings for Valerian as the years passed. From a young age Cassandra was inspired by stories of Sky Marshal Althena Gray that she immediately chose to join the military as her father and brother did before her. While publicly Cassandra behaved like a Princess of House Nabradia, she was secretly a tomboy. She would often play rough games with her brother whenever he returned from the academy on Fifth Jerusalem. Stelios eventually introduced Cassandra to her mentor, Leona Hennessy, who offered to train her in the art of combat. Under Leona's tutelage, Cassandra studied swordsmanship, marksmanship, and combat tactics to prepare her for life at the academy. Cassandra was sent to Lake Macross Academy during her brother's final year before graduation. Cassandra spent most of her years at Lake Macross training and writing letters to her childhood friend, Tear. Because Stelios knew Cassandra harbored feelings for Valerian Jugend, he did his best to scare away many of her other potential suitors at the academy. When Cassandra found naval school not to her liking, she enlisted in the armed forces mobile weapons training program, following the footsteps of her idol Althena Gray. Her popularity grew immensely after successfully defeating an instructor during one of her examinations. Cassandra's progress has since been closely monitored by the Federation military and she was estatic when one of Sky Marshal Althena's current descendants, Colonel Athena Raynor, was one of the higher ups who showed interest in her abilities. During Cassandra's final years at the academy, she was persuaded by her brother Stelios, now a captain of his own vessel, to join him. Unfortunately their reunion wasn't meant to be when word of Stelios's death during the Eclipsor Prime campaign reached Cassandra. During the funeral which saw Stelios posthumously promoted to Colonel, Cassandra vowed to continue where he left of, and bring order to the war torn galaxy. Stelios's death proved pivotal behind Cassandra's sudden transformation. Merely weeks following the funeral, Cassandra was able to hear the inner thoughts of her parents and was able to sense her beloved Valerian even when he was all the way in Solaris. Her rapid progression as an awakened Newtype alerted her peers at the academy, who requested that she stay an additonal year in order to regulate and master her newfound powers. Cassandra surprisingly received assistance from her present day idol, Athena Raynor, whose bloodline also consisted of Newtypes. Her new training program included perfecting the synchronization with the Psycommu System, controlling remote weapons, and regulating her psionic energy bursts which she passed with flying colors. Cassandra's untapped potential soon alerted Gebler and the Supreme Chancellor himself, who deemed her worthy of inheriting a position within the ELEMENTS. Although it was a dream come true for Cassandra to fight under Athena's command, the offer from the Supreme Chancellor proved too good to turn down, as it allowed Cassandra to reunite with her two childhood friends, Valerian and Tear. Following their reunion, Cassandra fulfilled her dream by starting an official relationship with Valerian. Their joy was shortlived when Celestia Aingeal passed away after years of solitude on Ostragard. Her death greatly affected Cassadra, because she had long looked up to Celestia as a godmother. Because of Celestia's close relationship to House Nabradia and the people of Fenril, she was allowed to be laid to rest in Nabradia Mausoleum by the present ruler and Cassandra's grandfather, King Raminas de Nabradia III. Cassandra joined the ELEMENTS a day after the funeral, succeeding her predecessor as the Wind Element. She was assigned to her first mission, by accompanying Valerian and Tear to Kislev. Cassandra fought tooth and nail to defend the Supreme Chancellor from harm, living up to her name as the Tempest Throne. When Supreme Commander Regulus sacrificed himself to achieve victory for the Federation, Cassandra shared Tear's sorrow at the loss of her brother but like many before her, felt his death was necessary for the Federation to live and fight another day. Unfortunately, Tear became disillusioned with the Federation following the death of her brother. She attempted to persuade Cassandra to defect but was unable to, for Cassandra's commitment to her brother's dream and her duty as heir to House Blesfeldt prevented her from sharing Tear's ideals. When Tear ultimately betrayed the Federation, Cassandra refused to take part in the hunt for her life even when she was pressed by the Supreme Chancellor to do so. Cassandra continued to serve the Federation with unwavering loyalty, swiftly rising through the ranks of the military in months. Recently promoted to the rank of Colonel, Cassandra was assigned by the Supreme Chancellor to fight the Holy Kingdom of Shevat, the arch rivals of Solaris. Cassandra made her mark leading the Solarian Vanguard against the Shevat allied homeworld of Terenas, conquering its key cities and military bases in a single month. Honoring Valerian's wishes to change the Federation from within, Cassandra refused to subjugate its citizens to forced slavery, a decision which surprised her Solarian subordinates but they were in no position to question the son of the Supreme Chancellor. For her outstanding achievement at Terenas, Cassandra was allowed to return to Fenril. She reunited with Valerian, who once again declared his intent to reshape the Federation in an image different from that his father. Cassandra found it hard to disagree, for she believed Valerian can win the hearts of many with his decisions, and she was willing to follow him anywhere to see his dream fulfilled. |
