"DISSONANCE" is my new collection. I've always been interested in the Arts and, not to toot my own horn or anything, I've found that I'm rather talented in them. For the past few years I've always done these arts separately. Music, writing, digital art. They've always been kept apart from each other. For this project, I decided to clash all of these areas together (hence the name of the collection) in an effort to really flex my creative muscle. So now that you have the background, what exactly is "DISSONANCE"? In the simplest wording possible, its a concept disc (meaning that it tells a story) that I'm putting out, but in a rather untraditional fashion. I've decided to immerse all of the senses by creating accompanying lyrics and images for each of the six songs on the disc. The images and lyrics are meant to be looked at while you listen to the song, so you can get a complete picture of the situation presented in the story. Here's the track list: 1. [WOMB] 2. pULSe 3. _subMERGE 4. MYOKOS 5. Baroque 6. ~DEITY~ I have the first two tracks totally completed and I'm going to share them with you now. So, without further adieu, I present to you the first two tracks! ![]() 1. [WOMB] First, the song. You can download it here: http://www.mediafire.com/?agy0j3b3zh9 The image: ![]() And finally the lyrics: "A heart played like a drum by a pulse Steady and driving My eyes have yet to open But using them, I'm still trying An unexplainable sound Draws me toward itself I swim through the folds As it fluctuates Throbbing undulation A light that shines through my closed eyelids I'm coming to you, mother I'm coming to life" ---------- 2. pULSe You can download the song here: http://www.mediafire.com/?84d4z92xye3 The image: ![]() And the lyrics: "Tension A steadily building rage Horns cry out from overhead as I fall from the Heavens Who would have thought this would be so soothing? The horns resonate from high above But their rage barely scathes me now The darkness lurking below is calling Making no effort to be subtle The Gods are not so ready to let me go They leave me with a message Born straight from their brass horns "Take this to your grave!" " ---------- 3. _subMERGE First, download the song here: http://www.mediafire.com/?81exmviwsno Then check out the image: ![]() Last, the lyrics: "Frigid and vast The seascape expands beneath me Creatures I've never seen Beam light from their mouths to see I hear birds from the surface above Its what's below that I crave A sonic, sweeping silence My watery grave Its calling out to me With its melodious, echoed speech And she's there before me I'm swimming toward the creature of my dreams Its eyes are smoothly glossed Devoid of life and presence Its limbs are thin and spindly Ever wary of my hesitance Everything has turned to static now This beautiful figure is fading I feel a pulling against me Before I'm speeding back to the surface" ----------- Its ambitious and probably a little crazy, I know, but I'm proud of what I've done so far. I'd love if you guys could give it a shot and let me know what you think.

WE WILL GET TO KICK HIM NOW

_subMERGE definitely has that submerging feeling. It feels like I'm somewhere at sea. [WOMB] kind of scares me. o_o It does look "natural", though. |
