So, i've been looking for sceneic bases that won't blow my budget (and considering a lot are around the £8 for 5 mark, basing a whole Gremlin crew could be quite expensive).

15 bases for £12!

So this company seems UK bases, which is clearly a help and seem to have a wide range of themes.

I'm thinking of going for the set i linked for my Gremmies, it might not really fit the swamp theme they normally have, but the board i'm working on at home is more an industrial wasteland theme, and i'd rather they look good on that.

Any thoughts?

They're a little too sci-fi for my liking, hey-ho

I came across that site when looking for ideas for objective counters, horrible to navigate.

Have you looked on eBay? These 30mm bases for example are £4.50 for 12 and a little less sci-fi but still industrial looking... I can vouch for that seller too, very efficient!

I won't lie, the price does seem very appealing however i am put off for a couple of reasons.

The first and foremost is ebay, i know it's technophobic of me (which sounds so weird as i live online) but there's something about ebay which just turns me off. I can't explain it.

Plus i love the style of the site i linked, how they have 30mm, 40mm and 50mm all with the same theme and some of their non-combo sets just look amazing such as the pier sets, and they just seem to have a whole lot of character that most of the other ranges i've seen don't have

K&K do have a few nice bases.

I've never had a issue with eBay and I bought most of my 40k and WotR models on there for practically half price. Saved me a packet over the last year or so and there's so much to choose from.

How about these: http://www.firestormgames.co.uk/11464

You could add bits n pieces to them to bring them in line with your terrain...

I'm toying with the idea of getting in on this resin bases game. I'm going to want to mount my grey Knights on something special, but have modeled them flat. So I'll be making some bases for myself if I can anyway.

You never know, it might be the start of that miniatures company I've been saying I'll start for ten odd years...

Thanks for the firestorm link.

I think i need to put more thought into what I'm going to purchase, especially as it's going to be quite a while until i do (it probably sounds crazy, but with only having about 4 months to pay off my overdraft and credit card before the youngling comes, disposable income is not something i have now. So until i have the cash to spare i have plenty of time to think about what to get.
