It would I think be nice to have some Plogs running on the forum, so here is my start, albeit with no pictures.

I will start with listing my current 'in progress' armies.

Warhammer

Averland Empire. Enough finished to a basic standard for 2400pts, now I need to actually finish off the painting properly. I'll probably start by finishing the knights first, and then the rest of my cannons and mortars before I start to approach some of my infantry again.

40K

Black Templars, these are now consigned to limbo until next year probably.

Grey Knights. I've been assembling Paladins, having looked at the transport capacity of the Stormraven I am starting to rethink the idea of having a unit of ten of them. Damian was right, fives really was probably the way to go with them... There is of course always the option of combat squading them...

These are my current painting priority

Warmaster

My Empire army shall likely remain in the same state its been for ages, IoW around 1750pts painted. I do intend to finish it off to 2500pts at some point, but other projects come above it in priority.

Warmaster Ancients

My Roman 'Black Legion' is still in the same state its been in for about a year now. I am hoing to go to an event at Maelstrom in the Autumn/winter so I need to get this finished off for that to 2kpts. The current plan is to work on this as a side project whilst painting Grey Knights...

That's my summary so far. Once my 'games room' has been tidied up a bit (it really is rather a mess at the moment) I'll take some shots of my armies as they currently stand, sort of as a Plog starting point.

I may also seperate out threads on each army for ease of reading. Oh and of course if anyone would like to start their own plog, then please do so...

Malifaux Ramos Crew

Or whatever you call it, they are crews right?

Anyway, first picture is of course of nothing to do what what I said I'd be posting about. Once I've finished putting together my grey Knights I will be taking an army shot though so that I can record the painting progress...

Anyway, I'm rather pleased with the bases. I just need to get a dust mask to be able to file the edges down. As it is I probably shouldn't have drilled the holes for the pins...

Other than assembling some more models, I'm going to pin the steamborgs arms, and quite possibly legs in place. The way to do this is to glue it in place (as I have done), then drill the pinning holes, insert pins and then cover the hole with greenstuff and then smooth off...

I've done this a couple of times before and I've found that its by far the easiest method, especially if the surface that needs repairing is not heavily textured and you need to fill some joint gaps anyway...

For the Grey Knights, or just in general?

I've pretty much finished assembling the Grey Knight infantry now, I've just hot the dreadnoughts to put together now. Painting-wise, I'm either going to try finishing done if my Empire army to a better standard for the tournie at the end of the month, or get going on the Paladins and Draigo...

After my Malifaux intro game (lots of looking up rules) with Chris yesterday, I've finished assembling the rest of my steampunk arachnids. I've also ordered some more from Leisure Games as it looks like Ramos needs lots and lots of them...

I'm off to GW HQ tomorrow for that one-dayer that Arthur & co. have organised. I'll be taking club flyers with me to hand out on the coach of course. But the main thing is that I'll be doing a spot of painting tonight (not much though, as there is an early start), and will be picking up as much FW stuff for my Grey Knights as I can.

I'm also going to invest in a dust mask so that I can work with all the resin that I've got (the Malifaux bases) and intend to get (Forgeworld Dreadnought parts).

As I've said I'm going to that Crucible of Lost Souls Warhammer tournie on the 30-31st of July, so painting-wise I should be working on improving the painting standard of my Warhammer army first and foremost.

I'm then commited to firstly our 40K ToS practice tournie on the 25th of September (I'll be running the Warhammer Marathon on the 11th, not playing in it), so my Grey Knights will go back to the top of the painting priority pile in August, but then I've got a 2k Warmaster Ancients campaign weekend on the weekend of the 8-9th of October, I haven't even finished painting my 1k yet, never mind taking it to 2k. And then of course there is the 40K ToS the weekend after....

So, I've got lots of events lined up to get me motivated towards painting, which is all good really...

Stern now has some paint on him. Picture to follow this evening when I put my brushes down.

I'm meant to be fixing the guest shower, currently I've taken six tiles off the wall and shall be applying some silicone removal fluid around the tray...

Tiling and siliconing isn't a problem, its retiling and resiliconing that's the royal pain in the backside.

Especially when the last time you did it you thought you were being clever by using some silicone disolving gel to get rid of the old silicone, only to find that it got stuck in all the small gaps, thereby insuring that any new silicone you apply would never cure properly or would disolve two weeks after curing...

That is why I've been putting off this particular diy job for about a year now...

About time I posted an update. All the Grey Knights are assembled and everything apart from my Dreadnoughts are undercoated.

Here's a shot of most of the army, basically just missing the stormraven and dreadknight.

I've still got a long way to go and only two weeks to do it in. At this stage I want to get the bases textured and finished, or at least base coated and inked. I'll finish off the two models that are pretty much finished already, including bases, and then the rest of the army will have to make do with three colours basic. I might try getting the Stormraven finished though as it is in lots of pieces, so unless I want it held together with blutac I need to put some work in on it...

I've gone for a dull-ish steel scheme, so not quite the finesse of the gold on my Empire Knights, but pretty quick and effective. The scenic bases are great, so thanks to Chris for putting me onto them...

I'll try to get pics up today if I can...
