Just a quick bump to remind club members of this. There are still four tickets left, and you never know some of them might still be available on Wednesday...

Now I know that plenty of you have Warhammer armies up to scratch, or could do in over a month and a half's time. So, go on, buy a ticket and if needs be see it as a challenge or something to aim towards when it comes to knocking your army into shape.

Hmm, I might enter myself actually...

Richard Laking has had to pull out, so I've issued a refund and we've now got three places left.

On the issue of a refund. I am happy to refund the full value of a ticket up to four weeks ahead of the event. Obviously any later than that and it creates a real headache, never mind of course obligations to the venue to pay the rent, etc...

The guy that's checking the lists and running the event doesn't actually come to the club, so you'll still need to email it to him I'm afraid.

Ol should be sending payment soon (so I've been told).

That means that we should have 16 players exactly.

If Ol decides he's not coming then I will have to step in and actually play (I will post the army list up here in advance so ppl can choose to check it over).

I might be doing the first round draw over the weekend if there is a high enough demand.

Ok, I'm hoping that Rich can make it on the day. We'll obviously both pay the £15, but we'll just play a couple of games of Warmaster Ancients throughout the day. We tend to chat too much when setting up and playing, which means that we hardly ever managed to actually finish a game at the club...

Was that at me fella?

I haven't included Rich in the draw so as it stands we should have even numbers.

If we get a late entry I'll play in the event.

Basically if Rich (one of the guys that goes to the club) can make it, then him and I will pay for a table but play Warmaster Ancients all day. We will both, or at least certainly I will be around to help, just so long as it doesn't involve Warhammer rules questions of course...

If he can't, well you can teach me the ins and outs of this version of Warhammer, just before it gets replaced... ;)

Book me as a provisional space depending on the missus. Is it ok for a unpainted beasts army. If not i will be using tomb kings.

If Rich can't make it for some WMA, or you get the money to me quicker then you've got yourself a place. IIRC form the tournie pack unpainted isn't allowed, which is actually reason enough for me to enter myself if you can make it as I'm sure I can knock an army together in a week if I really put my mind to it... ;)

Yeah, I don't mind teaching you the finer points of Warhammer if he can't make it.

Rob, you can use your TK's if you come. Just re-email me your list in case you get the day pass off Sabrina.

Stomm: If one of us has to play (to make up the numbers), how you want to do it? You want to play whoever is in last place, or do you want one of us to enter the tourney properly?

I'd be up for entering the tournie properly, at least then you can get the wooden spoon already prepared with a name and everything.... ;)

Then if I have to duck out for a round to sort something out (hopefully not), then you can take my place I guess.

Rich can't make it, so either way I'm not going to be playing Warmaster Ancients, etc... If Rob can make it then I'll enter properly and you can put me against him if you like in the first round, I think we've only ever played once actually, and didn't finish the game anyway. If not, then if you bring your army we can just play a game or two during the course of the day at a more relaxed pace than the tournie would otherwise allow.

Either way I think that using the event as an impetus for me to get my army sorted can only be a good thing. It's been in a patchy state since I started playing Warhammer about twenty years ago, I've never actually finished an army off to a fully painted level in even a basic painting standard. And with what is it 8th ed. coming out in July, getting an army ready at long last would I think 'be a good thing'.

I think that I may need to order some army painter....
