Yep, he has drunk deep of the cup of good fortune in the last years and now the cup is dry

Surely Red Bull have a drink to fill it back up <peek>

Magnussen has been poor since the Australian GP IMO.

McLaren has given him a sheit car ever since, with mechanical failures. <doh>

The stupid thing is that while they had a good Oz, Lotus who barely made the race are now faster than them.

McLaren has been standing still, while most other teams have made quantifiable progress in speed, stability, aerodynamics etc.

It's true, so why do they keep promising progress with all the upgrades.

Eric was adamant that they KNEW what the upgrades were going to deliver in Spain.

Oh sorry MW, Martin Whitmarsh

Eric may be good but I have a problem with his claims. Like last year when he kept communicating that Lotus already had the money in the bank. For more than 6 months in a row. When reality is they never arrived as Lotus never even had the sponsor signed. <thumbsdown>

I am VERY surprised McLaren took on Eric.

I wonder if Brawn will go on a fishing holiday in Milton Keynes (or where ever Mclaren are based)
;)

Brawn was at Ferrari last week.

He stated that he was in Italy and just wanted to pop in past to say hello.

Hmm.........

ok, so third place guy was ONE second slower than P2 and Mclaren surprisingly not the slowest of the qualifiers was 2 seconds slower. That is a ridiculous gap in F1, last year 3 tenths or less could cover the top ten. Anyone who says Mercedes don't have it ridiculously easy are not seeing the truth.

Good results from Ricciardo and Bottas.

As Button is notoriously crap at qualifying at least it bodes better for the race.

Well done to Hamilton for his first P1 in spain, but let's face it, there was only ever one other person capable of getting close.
