Clearly Red bull keep giving Vettel the wrong car.....

Could the same be said about Ferrari and Alonso? <peek>

I really doubt they are giving the best car to Ricciardo or even to Alonso, it's more like cars characteristic suits best to certain style of driving. Of course, there are other factors pretty much based on reliability.

My reference to Alonso was more to Alonso's answer last year to a journalist on what he wanted for birthday present, where Alonso said he wished he could get someone else's car. This year it must be a Mercedes on top of his list. :)

<wtf> is happening at McLaren?

Eric's input has yet to be noticed...

I kind of agree, although I guess Ron is as much to blame.

Frustrating days for Jenson fans though at least he's keeping Kev very very honest, he doesn't seem to be the next Lewis Hamilton after all. It was noteworthy that they gave both days in Bahrain testing to him. Guess they thought he needed it.

Hamilton was pampered with unlimited testing time before his first F1 race, starting 3 years before his first race. So from that perspective, Kev's first race result was far more impressive.

Any team owner with a rookie in the race team, would want to give the rookie as much time in the car as possible.

And with regards to the car at their disposal - Hamilton had the best car on the grid that year, backed up by 750 pages of technical specs for the second best car on the grid. <doh>

I guess so, but still, the cars are new to both drivers and it has been discussed that Ricciardo is performing better at RBR than Vettel because Vettel is used to a better car. would have thought the rawness of the new cars would have played more into Kevin's hands than Buttons.
