Good article Jack. Today the Spanish media (Marca) has reported that Mercedes has denied they are after Alonso. Denial is very common in F1 and sometimes end up being truth. But we must say that the fact that Alonso has been for too long now in a underperforming team all these rumours are not surprising. Time for a change, I think. |

Silly season is starting early this year. ![]() With current Mercedes 1-2 dominance in every race, do though not see any reason why they would want to change anything in their driver line up. But agreed. Alonso with Ferrari has so far not been a success (for Alonso at least) as 5 years without a title for him cannot be considered satisfactory. Heck, its now a full year since they even won a single race. Interesting a lot of blunt rumours have popped this week in Monaco. Like yesterday where for the first time neither Newey or Horner denied directly that Newey could be leaving Red Bull. And Newey did not decline either that he could be going to Ferrari (after allegedly having received a new very substantial offer from them). |
