Comments? The race was a mix of exciting and not very exciting, it was very processional in the middle with only Button pulling a fast pitstop on Alonso and Hulkenberg, kind of old school reminiscent of the old days and so made up two places without have to attack on track. Very clever and yet . . . . . well you know. So who was your driver of the day? Ricciardo for showing us RBR should not be written off, that he may have Vettel in his sights and for showing that Renault aroe less to blame than we originally thought. Perhaps Magnussen or Kyvat? For me drive® of the day goes to Bottas. While Magnussen did an incredible job in his first ever GP, it's fair to say he had to little more than point the car and go fast. Kudos to him but I wasn't that thrilled. The better Mclaren drive came from Jenson. However I give my DOTD to Bottas. One word FEARLESS He showed us that Williams might be up there. For that I am pleased for the team, for him and for Felipe who I have not always been an admirer of. |

My vote goes to Magnussen. Very solid weekend for a ROOKIE driver who looked experienced. Yes Bottas was impressive but he made a mistake which cost him a podium and he was lucky to get away with it. If the safety car had not come out he would have been even worse off. Felt very sorry for Ricciardo and I wonder if it was Vettel to highlighted his fuel issue Button did a very good job but he was fortunate regarding the safety car as he made up places. For me Magnussen was the driver of the day and McLaren were the team of the day. |

I like Bottas a lot and really happy to see that Williams appear to have taken a major step forward for this year. But trouble awarding DOTD to one who made many overtakes mainly because he himself made 2 major mistakes that lost him all the places gained in the first place. And also have to consider the further you get closer to the front runners, the much harder it becomes to overtake the guy in front of you. Magnussen did today what Hamilton did at first race. Qualified 4th, finished 3rd. And Magnussen only had a very few testing days in F1 compared to Hamilton's abundance before race start. Not sure how many drivers that made it to the podium in their first F1 race, but for me he was the DOTD. |

Ricciardo, Magnussen, Bottas. Can't decide, it is hard to say. All did an excellent job. |

Bottas, even with his mistake. The number of moves that came good won me over. I haven't really been impressed with him up to today to be honest. Magnussen drove well but didn't have the excitement that Bottas gave the race for me. |

Looking at Claire Williams in the pits after Bottas hit the wall I think she would have preferred less excitement from Bottas. He was very close to making it two William's out in the first race. Yes he was exciting and passing other cars but this was again due to his mistake so having to make his way past cars he should have been ahead of in the first place. |

For the entirety of the weekend he shone brightly, even besting his WDC teammate. |

good responses, mostly down to Bottas or Magnussen. I think it would be hard to choose between the two but interesting that two drivers came up who had distinctly different races. |

Bottas or Magnussen are in with a shot of being DoR... I think Hülkenberg getting a Force India up to 6th was also an achievement if not Dor. |

It's a fair enough argument, but you have to consider that Bottas had to try a lot harder and was chasing Alonso when he hit the wall, Kevin was just sat following Daniel most of the race. Racer versus Driver. |

Another inch to the right and Williams has 0 points, another inch to the left, and he's probably on the podium. Formula 1 is very demanding mistress. |
