Prompted by Vettel's championship celebrations in India this year - fined for putting in a few lurid, smoky donuts down in his RB9 - the FIA has now sanctioned a display of actual emotion in F1. According to the FIA, an exception to article 30.4 of the 2014 sporting regulations (which details all drivers must not stop on track without a valid reason) "will be made for the winning driver who may perform an act of celebration before reaching parc ferme, providing any such act is performed safely and does not endanger other drivers or officials, does not call into question the legality of the car and does not delay the podium ceremony."

I wonder who the first driver will be to burn enough rubber off the tires to come in underweight... |

Not Red Bull That would be a nightmare Also when engines need to be used for a number of races who will do it especially with the new turbo units. The FIA have allowed this knowing it WILL not happen

Vettel never did it until he won a fourth consecutive drivers title...there is no reason to believe it was ever going to be the norm... I suspect that all that has happened is that having been caught out last season the FIA have introduced a rule that covers them should 'any' driver decide to celebrate a win with a doughnut. |

The FIA looked like a bunch of idiots to the rest of the world for fining such celebrations though. Maybe they've realised that. |

Doughnuts are good, but I'd rather celebrate with a nice steak and good beer. |
