If ever we needed Flood, it would be this season.

Not that we need him, but I can imagine the value of his column or two to explain what the new reg's mean not to mention his technical interpretations of the testing.

But he is not here. What do we do?

In the season with the most drastic changes we could use some interpretation.

I doubt we will get such insight in this forum, so we shall have to be satisfied by the opinions of the regular posters.

The thing is, until we see a race unfold it is very difficult to imagine what effect things are going to have overall. Are cars going to tootle round saving fuel at any point, beginning, middle or end? Is there going to be more or less overtaking? Will a race sound spectacular? Will Red Bull pull through to dominate? Will the Mercedes teams spend all year taking points off each other to allow Ferrari to win? Can any of the smaller teams make any progress? Are the first few races going to be completed by anybody?! Everything is so different that no one knows.
