The Renault powered team, with arguably the biggest drain of talent, is now Renault's number one team. To make it even more insulting to RBR this is in no small part based on the performance of Moldonado. Lotus is still - what? - number 5 or 6 on the grid? I have zero problems seeing RBR struggling as they are. |

We will see how it all shakes out at the beginning of the season. Red Bull, regardless of their early woes, will be there or thereabouts. I would like to see both Grosjean and Maldonado winning this year, but I suspect the early season in the time for them to do it. Even if Lotus have an early advantage I expect other teams to out-develop them as the season wears on. |

I personally dislike the stupid double points for the final race that has been imposed this season let alone Bernie's campaign for double points in the final three races... how ironic would it be for RBR to be the greatest beneficiary. |

If Lotus can keep their development going to a high level all year they might do well. I think they will be the beneficiaries of any clashes between Mercedes powered teams who I think will dominate until the European races begin. |

That's a big if HSX. Were they ever able to pay the rest of Kimi's salary? |

And quite a lot of team members have left. So yes, a huge if. Honestly, I don't expect it to happen. I do think that the Mercedes powered teams will be the all powerful ones for the majority of the season as things stand at the moment. But I also think their scraps for positions will result in points being lost overall through clashes. |

just hope Mercedes dont do a brawn, i.e establish a great lead after the first 6 odd races and then stutter allowing the pack to close in. RBR with all their resources (and Bernie's help or interference - bit of both i think) might well challenge towards the end of the season. Ferrari can be at times a bit of a dark horse, however the way Alonso seems to drive and finish the car higher up the grid than you would expect puts the team in good stead. it doesn't hinder you also if you have the iceman as you team mate, just hope those two can get along |
