Shocking <sad>

Very talented driver and leading the Porsche Supercup championship which supports F1.

Tragic.

Two young people died in a week which will hit the Motorsport community.

RIP

Very nasty. Looking at the pic of what's left of the car it's surprising that the driver even survived at all. Must have been an enormous crash.

Hopefully the driver survives and can shed light on the accident.

Massive risk drivers talking time out to help others and sit alongside someone with less experience.

Will this be the end of such events?

There's an aerial video/report on the BBC site now. It seems to me as though the car didn't really slow down at the end of the straight and eventually impacted a tyre barrier and the wall, resulting in enormous damage and a fire. Apparently it took two hours to cut the driver out of what was left of the car.

:(
