So, according to the BBC F1 gossip section, Bottas is "definately" going to replace Senna at Williams.

But the more interesting item, which will no doubt please certain forum members, is that Rubens is rumoured to be in talks with Caterham regarding their second seat.

I read 'Barrichello will be taking the toilet seat' not sure how I managed that. I imagine that he will be paying for it himself, and all the paper needed for the tears.

I hope the rumours of Rubino's return are true... I could do with a good laugh...

But joking aside, he is 40 now and returning with a team like Caterham... I cannot see the appeal for either parties... other than to extend his record of GP's contested.

... if he did return with Caterham that would be team #7 he would have driven for... would that be another record?

Andrea de Cesaris drove for ten: Alfa Romeo, McLaren, Ligier, Minardi, Brabham, Rial, Scuderia Italia, Jordan, Tyrrell and Sauber. He's the record holder as far as I can tell.

Additionally, if you count Force India as separate to Jordan and Renault as separate to Benetton, Giancarlo Fisichella also drove for seven teams. I don't know whether you would, though.

I recon you would, they may share a lineage but they are still adifferent teams...

You wouldn't say that the Stewart Grand Prix team is a tripple WCC because the current RBR team can trace a lineage back to them (via Jaguar Racing)... or Honda won a WCC because Brawn did it the very next year using most of the former Honda Racing F1 team. <think>

Just think, if MS had sorted himself out and stopped dithering about signing another year with Merc and not lost the chance when L£wi$ Hamilton saw a chance to make silly amounts of money try and help the team, he'd have another 19-20 races to add to his total, and take that record back... <roflmao>
