I can't see what might have happened in a week so I fully expect normal service to resume from qualifying through to the end of the race, says cynical old(ish) me.

Vettel used his softs to grab fastest time but he is not clear of the McLarens.

If he needed to he can let the McLarens win so long as he keeps Alonso behind it will be job done.

and then there is this ...... yet another 'every one wishes they drove a Newey car comment'

http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2012/11/03/f1-f...c-roundup-0311/

Quote:

I think lots of people in the paddock wish they could have Adrian [Newey’s] car so they could show that they’re just as competitive as Sebastian. Fernando, for me, is more accurate. He hits all the apexes. Sebastian misses four apexes on a single lap and still goes quickest. He goes off and he still goes quickest. And I think ‘Holy crap, I couldn’t do that lap even if I was on the limit’. His car is just that far ahead of everyone else’s.

That's impossible, Newey did not design the McLaren, must be proof McLaren have coppied the RBR design. <angel>

Mercedes seems to have found it's mark for the weekend. <thumbsdown>

Cracking qualifying result for Rosberg!

Brilliant pole for Lewis and Seb told to park his car on track again after getting 3rd.

Red Bull are making a habit of that..

I wonder if Webber will suffer KERS problems and his usual crappy start. I don't know why they don't just tell the guy to let Vettel past as he has more at stake than Webber.

<topic>

Good showing from Lewis who has a point to prove before he departs for Mercedes, while Schumacher seems to have retired a few races early... going through the motions now.

Webber will try to get past Hamitlon but failing that will ceed to Vettel as is right and proper (assuming Vettel does not fluf his start). Alonso needs a cracking start. should make for an interesting first lap. :)
