http://planetf1.com/news/3213/7024601/Vett...inger-And-All... Yes, it's just the usual planetF1 crap. Probably, Vettel really is a nice guy, he's probably actually more my kind of kind than any of the other drivers because he even reads. This doesn't include Alonso who only reads headlines with his name in them. What I am getting at is that I am not alone in being offended by his race winning gestures. End of story. I am not alone. |

I've followed Vettel since 2005 and he has to my knowledge always used this salute when he wins or claims a pole position... Those who profess a problem with it can I ask what do they really expect... it is after all their problem. As for the comment in the article that some find it it offensive well that is just stupid, they might find it irritating but how can it be considered insulting... all drivers have their idiosyncrasies, that wierd leap thing Webber does is just one example. It seems that some people shouldreally have better things to be erked by than Vettles finger salute... like why the other driver are not stopping Vettel winning so much... that would solve their problem after all.

I've never been bothered by Vettel's salute. As I've stated before, I'd rather see a thousand Vettel salutes than see one more Alonso win. |

Here's a finger for you. Just kidding. But I don't understand the problem w/ the number 1, I could if he finished 2nd or lower. Winning an F1 race is hard, I'd rather see excited drivers that go back to Prost or Mansell who looked like their dog died after a win. |

I think it boils down to who you like to see winning or not winning in the case of TCG (Vettel) and LT (Alonso). I'm sure there are those who did not like the Schumi 'leap'... The ironic thing is that Vettel had a crash when he spun at the top of Eau Rouge in the first World Series race in 2006 and came close to losing his finger when a piece of wreckage from the crash hit his finger, cutting through the bone. |

Yes I do!!! Hamilton's is the ONLY one that comes close to what Vettel does, shumacher's is way off. It's the whole arm bicep flexingness of it. I don't mind Vettel winning on credit, I don't do gloat very well so I don't like it in others. I guess it stems from playground psychology and many negative qualities in human nature. my dislike of his action is not irrational, but it might be instinctual! |

It was a rhetorical question... We ALL know that YOU have a problem with it. It seems to be that you are fixated by this... and that IS vey, very irrational… you are transferring what I assume is a lot of your own childhood scars on a 23 year old who is simply celebrating the still fairly rare achievement of winning a GP, which is kinda bad for you as he will (hopefully) keep doing it for a little while yet. And while we are on the subject…Vettel does not gloat... he does not go into every GP saying I'm the best... he ALYAYS acknowledges his teams effort… “Thank you guys”… Yup what a gloat. (btw… this is sarcasm, no need to reply) Carl you really must try and move past the fact that for now Vettel is riding the F1 wave. This season may be his to loose right now but history has shown us that can happen easily. RBR may be heading for back to back championships but I don’t see a Ferrari 5 year dominance for them…have a little patience… new rules this race may already be ending their run. So rather than clogging up the board with so much anti-Vettel vile, why not chill a little, go play some of your great music… (I’ve heard it and your good man)… I’m sure that part of the world has some great food and drink… ... and lets watch Button win in the rain on Sunday

I don't think we are ever going to agree on this. Personally I am one of those who finds the aggressiveness of it all a bit boring now. For some reason it simply bugs people. Not much logic to that I know, but clearly there are enough that it is reported on, and commented on even by Star Sports live commentators and there you go. Not sure if it is worth bringing up again unless it is raised in an incredibly humorous way. |
