To me this reinforces why F1 should not return at present. http://www.cnn.com/2011/SPORT/football/06/....html?hpt=hp_c1 |

Seems the drivers are a little on edge. http://www.gpupdate.net/en/f1-news/261533/...hrain-security/ From Rubens, “However, I also want to make sure that we’ll be safe there. At GPDA meetings we have all expressed concern and demanded security if that race is going to happen.” |

It would be interesting to hear the McLaren duo's views given the teams connection to Bahrain. |

This all kicked off to so Mclaren could have some extra time to sort their car out at the start of the season

Don't worry about any danger at the race. All protesters will probably be shot down like dogs before they get close enough to be considered a threat to the teams or spectators. |

With the Bahrain GP (potentially) taking the date of the Indian GP, wouldn't that pee you off if you had bought and paid for your trip to the inaugural Indian GP? |

Like a mad bastard. I wonder if we could see a class action law suit against the Bernie and Co. |

I heard an interview with Evan Davis talking to Mad Max and Sheikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa and two things stood out, first Max confirmed that only full agreement by the teams will secure the date change, so it is likely some teams will not agree to it, problem solved. The Sheikh trying to claim that under labour laws employers could dismiss staff who miss 10 days off work, but would not comment on the fact they where shite muslims and were detained by police so as to be off work for 10 days... I am now less concerned that the GP will go ahead. |

Is that a typo, spelling mistake or how you genuinely feel about muslims? Freudian slip by any chance? |

In an odd sense, the Bahrain GP is probably bringing much more attention to the attrocities and excesses of the royal family than they could have considered. Personally the race there was never good, and this could be a great excuse to stick it to a warped Arab ruling family. But if this is the measure, then what about China? With due respect, China has a massive history of oppression of people, suppression of human rights, murder, corruption, police brutality, military abuse including creation of massive economic units, genocide (and not just Tibet), suppression of free speech, and so forth. China makes most nations look like little kittens. Personally I think Bahrain should be kicked out of the calendar at least for this year, and hopefully the UN will look at Bahrain with the same lenses it looks at Lybia. |
